What a great music history in an iconic venue. If you enjoy intimate environs for your concerts this will not disappoint. It was the last performance during the Spoleto festival and I don’t believe it lost any enthusiasm. We look forward to returning next year to enjoy this performance, and more of the other 100 performances during this festival.

BEAUTIFUL voices, emotional, inspiring and thought provoking. A must for all to see and head when visiting Charleston. This was definitely a highlight

My husband and attended this concert in the lovely Circular Church. This experience had it all - world class musicians, history, and a reasonable cost! We definitely recommend this event .

What a profound and uplifting experience the history of Charleston through music was. Every performer was talented, committed and passionate in sharing their particular musical experience. The variety and care of the programme was exceptional. We enjoyed every bit of it. If I lived in Charleston I’d want a season ticket and would volunteer to help with checking tickets so I could attend regularly. How lovely that this musical performance can share Charleston’s history alongside the carriage tours and walking tours.

A Quiet respite of historical musical whether classical or Charleston related. This evening selections were from Mozart and Handel to Civil War shanties to Slave Spirituals and closing with Gershwin and Amazing Grace.
The setting for the music was the historic Circular Congregational Church with a lot of history in it self and the church cemetery.
It was a peaceful ending to busy day of learning history first hand Charleston.

Outstanding and so entertaining. All of the performers were excellent . From the beginning of Bill Schlitt’s opening until the last note on the piano it kept me spellbound. I will go back many times and recommend to our locals the talent we have right here. Thank you for a magical evening of entertainment.

What an incredible experience. Stumbled across this and so far the highlight of the trip. A must hear, see, event in Charleston. Incredible venue as well. Get there early to visit the graves.

The stunningly powerful voices filled with love and joy in the "Oh, Happy Day!" performance blessed the audience with heartfelt emotions evoking clapping, tapping, stomping, dancing and even tears.

It was an amazing concert. All of the artists including the gentleman who played the piano and led the event were very talented. I would highly recommend the experience.

We like the Mills house . It may be a bit pricey, but the atmosphere is nice and we usually get a salad and burger. Check out Gaulart &Maliclet a little french place a few blocks. There are so many restaurants you can't go wrong.

Hi, Bill! I've been trying to contact you re our group reservation for October 7th via the "email" on your website -- but obviously it isn't working. Didn't know if you were aware of the problem with the "contact us" messaging. And it must have not been working when I first contacted about our situation a couple months ago, since I've not received an answer. (Don't want to go into the situation on this site.) I will give you a call at a reasonable time tomorrow (it's nearly 11:30 pm right now!)

How far in advance should we purchase our tickets? Up to 15 of us will be in Charleston in early October, although I don't know how many will want to go. (Probably all.)
-- Are the tickets $28 each? Is there a group rate?
-- What time should we arrive in order to be seated fairly close together?
-- Also, is there a good reasonably priced restaurant or not-loud bar nearby where we could have a bite to eat after the concert?
