After researching the Inlet Plantation Horse Stables, we arranged a one hour trail ride. It was such a wonderful experience. The horses, and staff were amazing. The trail was beautiful, at one point, we were close to the inlet with beautiful views of Calabash, N.C. Our tour leader was knowledgeable, friendly and made us all feel safe and comfortable. I have never ridden, and felt confident and safe. We had a beautiful sunny day, and it was perfect.
I highly recommend these stables.

My two friends and I scheduled a plantation ride during our vacation in N Myrtle Beach last week. I’m a horse lover; owned and showed my own when I was young. First, I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the facility - not easy to do when you have 41 horses! Meghan greeted us and we accepted the offer of helmets ( not a requirement, but everyone should wear them). There were three other riders who joined us, and we started the ride on time. Our horses were selected based on our experience and weight. My friend Nancy is blind, so they put her on a wonderful horse, Rex, who followed our guide and didn’t give her any trouble. My horse, Ratio, was a bay gelding who was surprisingly responsive to light rein commands. The trail was scenic and all the horses were calm and well behaved. This is a very well run organization and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something fun and different to do in the N Myrtle Beach area.

We booked the oceanfront beach ride but due to hurricane Ian we had to switch to trail ride. It was still a pleasant experience. The trail setting was peaceful and offered scenic water views along the inlet within in Park-like setting.

Amazing experience! If you want to do a horseback ride on the beach, this is the place to do it. The horses are wonderful and you really get to ride with the horse. The horses don't just fall in line and follow the leader. My horse was Piper and she was full of personality! The ladies did a good job of pairing up horse and rider. Will definitely go back! (I've never seen mosquitoes so BIG!!)

Definitely a great experience. Would recommend it to anyone who was looking to ride on the beach. All trail horses so no riding experience is necessary

My daughter and I recently had the privilege of taking in this horse riding experience while on vacation in Myrtle Beach. That said, here was my takeaway:
ARRIVAL/STAFF: The long, winding dirt road to the stables was a great intro for the start or our adventure, an atmospheric drive away from the hustle and bustle of the main roads. Upon arrival at the stables, we were warmly greeted by a lovely group, both welcoming and very helpful. They had us geared up with our helmets and ready to go in no time, even taking the time to make sure my daughter’s helmet was secured properly. After a quick bathroom break, we followed our guide to the minibus that would take us to the horses and the beach. Our group of nine was the perfect size, and the staff had us mounted and secured on our horses in short order. Five stars.
OUR GUIDE: Though her name escapes me at the moment, our guide was absolutely awesome, highly knowledgeable and patient. She was calm but ever vigilant, leading us down the beach while keeping an eye on everyone to make sure everything was going well. Our guide later offered to take some great photos of us and everyone in the group. Not once did the tour feel rushed or mechanical, and was something my daughter raved about nonstop after it ended, even a week later. Five big stars for our guide!
THE TOUR: With my daughter on the back of Lacey and myself on Arizona, it was a serene, almost meditative experience riding down the beach to the sound of the surf in our group. All the horses immediately fell in line behind our guide and the whole experience ran so smoothly. Truly a lifetime experience to check off your bucket list, as you traverse up and down the privately owned windswept beach on the backs of these beautiful animals. Loved this tour.
THE BOTTOM LINE: In my experience, its not very often the cost of a tour equates to the experience received, but I can in this case, can confidently say our beach ride at Inlet Plantation Stables was worth every penny. A 10 year old daughter’s dream fulfilled, and a travel memory we will not soon forget. Five full stars for Inlet Plantation Stables, well done!

We had a party of 11 for the 9am inlet ride, last time here in 15 years and still the best. Clean stables, excellent trail horses, superb staff.
The owners not only take great care of the horses but also rescue ones as well.
When at Myrtle Beach make sure you go for either a Inlet ride or Beach ride at Inlet Point Plantation. We all had a blast and now that we live closer we will make sure we go back more often!

Very friendly staff, including the horses. The trail was very pretty and the guide was polite and helpful. The horses were well-behaved. The property is lovely.

Mallory and Stephanie were so sweet and made the day a great experience with the horses! The horses were calm and the ride was very enjoyable on the beautiful shore of the beach. November turned out to be a great time of year to come. It was a wonderful day. I highly recommend Inlet Point.

It was a race against bad weather to get our beach ride in, but the storms held off until we returned to the stable. If this is on your bucket list, this is a great stable to ride the beach. Private island so it's quiet and open. Nice sandy beaches and (mostly) quiet horses. A word of warning...GPS stops at their driveway. It's probably another ten minutes down their private lane before reaching the ranch. Allow extra time. GPS said fifteen minutes, but it took us thirty.

Long pants and a firm sole shoe. I would recommend mosquito repellant and/or a thin long sleeve top.

Is there any Trails rides Where You can Go for one Hour & go for Beach Ride Half time & the other half in the Woods on Trail & is there any Where that You can Lope or Gallop ?

Hi, I am in my 50's and overweight with knee problems. I used to ride a little bit when I was younger. I was wondering if there is a weight limit for the horses? And is there an assisted way to get up on the horse for someone with knee problems? Thank You!

I believe the weight limit is 250 lbs. and there is a stepping stool to help get your foot in the stirrup so you can swing yourself up on the saddle. You may feel more comfortable contacting "Inlet Point" directly; they are very congenial.

Thinking about the two hour ride family of 6, have two 15 year old boys. All are novice but all are asking about a trot . Would thus be worth it for us to go two hours, no trot option and with two teenage boys? It is a bit steep in price but if worth it ......

I'm not a riding expert, but typically novices don't trot. You should probably stick to a walking tour.
Two hours is a nice time but expect to be sore the next day if you are novices. If you don't want to be sore, maybe start with a one hour.
I'd suggest calling the stable and seeing what they recommend.
