We're so glad we stopped by the Visitor's Center before exploring Spearfish. Mistie was extremely helpful. She listened to what we wanted to do with our day (a picnic lunch with younger kids, multiple hikes, and the scenic byway) and have recommendations based on that. She was very knowledgeable, and I'm glad we stopped by to plan our day with the advice of a local.

it's a nice little town, there is a clock tower just in front of the visitor center, people can turn the wheel, make the sphere on the top rotate, the sphere on the top of the clock tower is made by a local designer, and this kind of sphere is called Termesphere, we also visited the gallery and museum of this artist. The town is not very big, many attractions are nearby, some even within walking distance. There are some information board to introduce the town and the attraction for the tourist.

Super helpful staff! The staff gave us a full run through of the Spearfish area and the historic downtown. We took the self guided tour (booklet) of the historic buildings and walked around the town. lots of shops and restos and well maintained buildings. Maps, booklets available for all the sites in the area. Note -there is a public washroom here as well as across the main road a little up East Hudson street.

Wir würden von zwei älteren Damen freundlich empfangen und erhielten tolle Tipps und Infomaterial für unseren Aufenthalt. Herzlichen Dank dafür. Wo immer wir eine Staatsgrenze passieren oder eine Stadt bereisen, erster Weg ist immer das Visitor Center. Immer eine große Hilfe.

Anything you might want to know about the area this is the place to stop in Spearfish. The young man there did everything to help us and give us advice. Got many pamphlets to take along and maps.

By far this is a good informative travelers resource center. As a resident of Spearfish SD I have many opportunities to visit the center and every time I go there I learn more thing about my home city the natural beauty that you can find here. I in courage anyone to visit this center when they come to Spearfish so they can find many new and exciting places to see here.

Thank you so very much to the young gentleman that helped me today. I've wanted to visit Spearfish for 30 years and now we're here! I did not get the young man's name but he pointed us to everything I wanted to see and experience. He was so polite and friendly! Thank you again. My husband and I have had a great first of four days.
