They're always welcoming, friendly, and attentive at The Castle Inn. There's a car park too, which is ideal in this small village with narrow roads. Food isn't your run of the mill stuff and is inventive and tasty. Perhaps I've said too much - I don't want everyone descending on the place and not be able to get a table!

Very friendly service and selection of wines and beers. Pleasant walled garden for those who like alfresco eating and drinking. Situated in the quiet South Devon village of Holcombe.

A small but very welcoming place to go. A very good choice of quality food freshly made by an experienced chef. If its just a beer and chat you want the staff and locals are a really friendly bunch.

I have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed,a lovely country pub with a welcoming atmosphere, the starters are delicious my favourite is the goats cheese with poached pear, all the mains that I have tried I cannot fault. the food is fresh and expertly cooked, the portion size you receive is generous too. I am not a massive fan of the puddings here, but I would recommend the gourmet bread and butter pudding.
The service is excellent with well spaced timings between courses. Overall a first class dining experience .

Lovely country pub, very friendly welcoming staff. The best thing about this place is the food, the chef has a particular skill for his Sauces although all the starters and mains I or my wife have ever had there have been cooked to perfection, the duck is my particular favourite. My only criticism if the food here is the desserts are not his thing although compared to many other restaurants they are still very good.
