We visited for karaoke last week - we did it before a few years ago and had a great time. The landlady is lovely, hard working and friendly. It was extremely noisy when we arrived and unfortunately drowned out the karaoke quite a bit but my husband did a few songs so was quite happy. But unfortunately he tested positive for covid three days later and I put it down to the DJ not cleaning the microphone after each use. Can I ask the landlady to ensure whoever runs the karaoke uses an antiseptic wipe after each use please? We will be back but hopefully once covid has eased off

Woman was terribly rude and refused to serve us without even properly checking ID as someone who works in a pub I can recognise there was awful customer service and the attitude was very unwelcoming from the second we walked in. Would not recommend

We’ve been holidaying around the coast of Devon for two weeks and came across this lovely inn.
Not too sure why this pub has received some low scores with poor reviews. It’s in a nice location, right in the town centre.
The interior is authentic and is in fitting with the pub, with a lovely dog that welcomes you as you enter the building. Externally there’s good set of tables which ideally facilitates social distancing.
The service was spot-on with a lovely lady behind the bar.
Good choice of ale at the best prices I’ve seen in Devon.
Well worth the visit if you feel thirsty in Dawlish town centre.

Great pub great ales and lagers wines shots spritzers all sorts you would like to drink karaoke on a Friday a lot of people meet here after work for a pint before going home getting ready and coming back for the karaoke if on a Friday is not a bad thing I could say about this pub it is a brilliant atmosphere and has always been one of the go to pubs you will not be disappointed walking into this environment long may it live.

Recently visited the Teignmouth Inn, walked in and sat down but before we could even buy a drink had to leave. The pub is dirty and stinks of horrible old smelly dog. The dog lies in the middle of the floor and doesn’t let people past. Needs a good clean and airing and the dog removing from the service area so people can sit and enjoy their drink. Would not recommend in any circumstance. Awful.

hi all
myself and my wife recently stayed at Teignmouth inn we found it a nice place to stay good facilities nice pub with up stairs accommodation was clean comfortable for the 2 nights we spend there sue was nice the landlady they dont do breakfast but its in a good location so just walked round the corner to get breakfast nice location for the train station 2 mins would stay there if we visit dawlish again

Have been to this pub a few times when visiting dawlish for "1" drink. Always end spending the afternoon or evening there. Land lady is really friendly, lovely pub and really friendly locals. Always end up meeting really interesting people. Drinks are competitively priced, and they often have drinks deals. Fun karaoke on a Friday night. Go in with an open mind and a willness to chat and you will be welcomed like an old friend. Well worth a visit especially if you like pub dogs!

Nothing special in the building, but the locals were friendly and there was a good atmosphere. Beer was very good and went down really well with their unusual idea of karaoke - several microphones passed around the room and everyone sings to the usual record (not a karaoke track) - unusual idea but it seems to work (and work loudly).

The stench in this place is incredible- dogs and general decay- honestly- it's unbelievable- CWZ would recommend to all to go in here just to experience the stinkiest pub probably IN THE WORLD. Grabbed a pint and went upstairs where there is a diminutive balcony with a view of the sea and railway- nice- but you suck in loads of traffic fumes and noise- but its a godsend to the stench emanating from downstairs. Rough as a dog's behind- and that's probably what you are smelling! UGH!

Knocked on the door at opening time bank holiday Sunday. ..... no answer..... this pub is advertised on the Dawlish ale trail. ...... 50 people wanting a pint and food. Aparenntly landlady is out walking the dog!!!!! Enough said.
