The staff are so welcoming and helpful. The had booked an open lesson and it was just the 4 of us. Conditions were tricky but even our beginners had a good go!
We have had lessons here as a family for years and it remains our go to place for a really great experience.

Just got back from another fantastic week in Woolacombe. Big highlight this year was our group surf lesson with Surfing Woolacombe. We arranged a private group lesson (two hours) for 8 of us of varying ages, including friends and family. Some of us could already surf a bit and have our own boards, and some of us had very little experience and borrowed the boards. Jack was a totally excellent teacher! He managed to give individual advice to all 8 of us, massively helping each of us to improve our surfing as well as giving all sorts of other surfing related top tips and info. All 8 of us thought he was brilliant and we would definitely book him again. Thank you!

We came down to Surfing Woolacombe with limited surf equipment and someone who hadn’t surfed before. We were served by Bucky who was incredible at helping us understand what we needed to rent and how to use the equipment. He made us feel completely at home and it completely made our trip. We were able to go in the sea and had the best time ever - such a highlight. Thank you so much to the team for everything you did!!!

I highly recommend Surfing Woolacombe! Excellent service, always friendly & very knowledgable. From supplying rental equipment, to providing private/group surfing lessons, Buckie and his team are the best shop in North Dorset. I have been sending all my B&B and corporate clients to Surfing Woolacombe for years and have never been disappointed.

We have been going surfing for 3 years now. We love the shop we have been using there hire boards everytime we go down. I have also had a few lessons which are fab, especially if you are a beginner. Lovely staff!

Been using Surfing Woolacombe (previously known as Hunter Surf) for a fair few years now and the high standard of service and friendly welcome is always a highlight to my visits to Woolacombe. The surfing Woolacombe team are fantastic with their attention to detail, care and endless knowledge they really are the best surf school and hire around.

What a great experience! - we were looked after so well on our three booked private lessons … thanks to all the instructors (lily,Jaz, and Enrice) not just for the lessons ( and yes we all did get to stand and surf …) but also for being friendly when we were in the surf out of lesson time … and especially to Jaz and Enrice for the helpful advice. Looking forward to our next visit ( already booked to return to Woolacombe in October) when i’m sure we will need a refresher!

My kids had a great surf lesson today! The instructor was very friendly and really helped my daughter who was finding some of the bigger waves challenging! The shop staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the whole experience was brilliant from start to finish! Would highly recommend!
