I've been here a few times and really like the small intimate atmosphere.
The bar and toilets are easily accessible and the whole place is clean and staffed largely by volunteers.
Downside is not allowing drinks into the theatre. This means if you want a drink in the interval you need to get it last and drink it fast. So you tend jot to bother.

Great evening at the Tivoli to see Money for Nothing. Very good show, excellent musicianship and brought Dire Straits to life. Comfortable seats, intimate theatre so what more could you want?

Comfortable seats though no leg room for tall people. It wasn't designed as a cinema though. It was packed and the audience respectful. For me , the evening was almost ruined by a slob who let the door slam in my face and then told me that he "didn't give a f*** Actually don't expect to come across such morons in the Tivoli. Not the Tivoli's fault I know.

I went with my family and young granddaughter to see the pantomime Cinderella - which was very good.
On leaving the theatre the weather had become atrocious - rain coming down in sheets with a gale force wind, and the pavements were inches deep in rain. Many families were sheltering in the doorway of the foyer either waiting for the weather to ease or having sent family members off to get their cars so the children wouldn't have to go out in the appalling weather. My grandaughter is only three years of age and dressed for a pantomime, not a full blown storm, so we decided to wait also.
To my dismay we were all suddenly shouted out that we had to leave as they had to lock the doors - surely nobody would be heartless enough to send young children outside to wait in that weather? But yes, we were literally thrown out onto the pavement where parents were desperately trying to keep their children dry - not a very pleasant sight to witness.
Surely the staff could have used a little common sense and delayed closing the doors for ten minutes or so until all the little ones were safe and dry.
Shame on you, Tivoli - I won't be visiting again.

First time visiting this wonderfully old cinema and now theatre. Very comfortable seating. A delightful evening and the Pink Floyd Experience tribute band made it sensational!

I am disabled on aa Scooter and carrying Oxygen. Your staff were amazing, couldn't have looked after us any better and with such huge smiles too. More like they were our friends than staff.

Saw Marti Pellow on 30th October 2023. Great show!! Theatre is a great venue, however, when there is a packed audience (nearly 500) and the majority are middle aged women, the interval queue at the loos was unbelievable. The venue may need to consider its toilet facilities to accommodate the volume of people attending?

Just got home from seeing A Rehearsal for Murder. Absolutely brilliant. The cast were amazing, so professional, kept us guessing right to the end. Loved the use of the auditorium as part of the play, and the backdrops and lighting were perfect. Well done everyone. 👏

Visited on Saturday to see a tribute band to Led Zeppelin called Coda. What an energetic and good band. The singer has quite a tongue in cheek attitude but they took the music seriously. It was a good night and the theatre is just lovely.

A really nice friendly theatre, I believe run by volunteers. We saw a play this time but have been to music nights & the Christmas Panto before too. All were enjoyable & the staff friendly & welcoming. It's comfy & has a lovely atmosphere. There is a bar in the theatre & next door/sort of attached is a cafe for snacks & hot/cold drinks. All very reasonably priced.
