Wonderful day out! Enjoyed with all of the family and they have something to do for everyone, including fidget toys and ear defenders for those that struggle with surrounding environments. I think that more places should have this sort of arrangement so I just wanted to say thank you. The trails are so amazing and creative, the exhibits were mind boggling and I took away a lot from that. Looking forward to hearing about the competition winners. Thanks for a great day out 😊

The museum tells a fascinating story behind the property, and is really brought to life with all the original items from the house combined with a simply beautiful garden. This was a highlight of a visit to Wimborne (and the Minster was pretty good) . The museum had a really coherent story and we loved it

We had an amazing time.
I visited for the first time with my two children and our service dog.
My children are big Star Wars fans, so when we saw they had an exhibition, we could not wait.
We found the whole museum very interesting and informative. Lots the hands on things for the kids to try and explore. Staff are very friendly and the children enjoyed doing the star wars quiz.
Will definitely be coming back again soon.

A great rainy day out for the kids in Dorset. The 250 year old house has lots of interactive displays such as a Victorian kitchen and school, toys and books, a Star Wars display as well as much to discover about the history of Dorset and the family that lived here.

Lovely county museum with many interesting displays covering everything from iron age to modern day. The use of the building, and explanation of its development and history, were particularly interesting to me as the son of a historic buildings architect. The tea room was nice too. I did smile though when the lady said i could ignore the stars on the map as they marked the star-wars themed childrens trail. Me, in a star-wars hoodie, with darth vader socks...

We went for the Star Wars exhibition but there was so much to see and do that we stayed for hours! Lots of interactive exhibitions, which my boys (aged 10 and 8) enjoyed. Lovely gardens too.

We had a fun time visiting on a rainy Easter holiday. There was a star wars themed Easter egg hunt and lots of interesting local history, including a mummified cat hidden in the wall.
