This is a nice small attraction. We visited with a child and enjoyed seeing it. The view of the harbour is really nice.

Lovely walk around the village, very quite on a February afternoon. The lighthouse is very small, close. I was lucky only once to visit it inside even though there's nothing interesting inside. Nice view of the bridges.

Wasn't open so couldn't go in, but it was interesting as it is so small (the local houses are taller) and there is also a good view of the forth rail bridge. Plenty of info boards about the local area.

Interesting to see under the iconic bridge. Remember to leave a small donation.

The lighthouse is small, interesting and not much in itself (unless you are a keen lighthouse spotter). What makes it outstanding, is the majestic location, the charming village of North Queensferry and the little kiosk museum next door explaining the history of the area. You can pick up guides here that give you a number of stunning walks in the area. We didn't realise you can walk a big loop across the Forth using the suspension bridge and a local train across the Forth Bridge. You'll also take in South Queensferry which is another pretty village.
This makes a great day out from Edinburgh and if the bridges don't give you an interest in civil engineering then nothing will!

Desde el año 1817 se ubica este pequeño faro en la orilla del poblado de North Queensferry, frente al estuario Forth. Tuvimos la suerte de que la puerta estaba abierta cuando hicimos la visita con mi esposa, en febrero de 2020. De ese modo, aprovechamos de subir a la parte alta, donde se sitúa el foco mismo del faro. Al mismo tiempo, pudimos leer en unos paneles unos muy interesantes datos acerca de la historia del faro. Existe un libro de firmas para los turistas, en el cual escribí un saludo personal, dejando de ese modo un recuerdo mío en este hermoso sitio histórico.

We love this little attraction and so do our customers. When it is open you are able to ascend the stairs and look at the light. A lovely little treasure overshadowed by the three mighty bridges of the Forth.

his tiny little light house is apparently the smallest working light house in the world which we can believe. Didn’t get to go in but it makes a good photo opportunity as does the fantastic cantilever bridge nearby.

As many have said, this is the world's smallest working lighthouse. Inside, there's lots of information about the history of the lighthouse and also has great views of both the Forth Bridge and the Forth Road Bridge. The former is a UNESCO WHS and it's worth going to North Queensferry to see this lighthouse and the bridges.

Yes the lighthouse is very suitable no more than 10 steps and he can see the lamp and the see out the glass . there is a bit of history at the foot of the stairs
