My husband and I went to the market this morning which was the first of the season. Nice assortment of fresh vegetables, cheese, breads, etc. Live music and free parking. Blackberry Farm was there and we got some awesome bread and butter pickles, pimento cheese and a baguette from them. And Dancing Bear had a lot to choose from, but we finally settled on a delicious blue cheese Vidalia onion spread. This is a weekly event through early November.

Because the market is only for those who grow in Blount County it is not open year round. What is offered is always fresh and the prices are under what you pay in a grocery store. There is always live music provided by local acoustic bands. Nice way to spend your Saturday morning and if you like do bring your dog.

Great farners market each Saturday throughout the summer and friendly and helpful vendors. Live music most weekends.

The Maryville Farmers Market has been a weekly stop of mine for 5 seasons. The variety is great, sellers very friendly and knowledgable, and pricing is very reasonable. The market is very strict that the products sold must be locally produced, so everything is the real deal. Organic selections have really grown in the last couple of years, and there seems to be more meat recently also.
The choicest picks tend to sell quickly - especially local eggs - so it's best to be there at opening time for best selection.

This local Farmers market is seasonal Saturdays. It's smaller than some of the larger cities but produce MUST be grown locally. Did not realize that some Farmers markets allow produce to be shipped in. Prices have always been very reasonable and I love fresh picked and baked goodies.

I'm not with the actual working of the market. I know it has been open for about 3 weeks now and I think the Wed afternoons start tomorrow. I would try to find a contact number or check with their facebook page if you can.
