I recently returned from touring Scotland for the 2nd time, both with Steve. He is a geneologist, a historian, a master storyteller, superb tour guide and mountain goat all wrapped up in a bundle of excellence. we never felt rushed, he was considerate of all of our sensibilities and has a knack for avoiding tour bus groups at popular tourist sites. i plan on visiting Scotland again and would never consider using anyone else. Steve is top notch.

This was my fifth time touring in Scotland and my experience with Steve from Outlandish Journeys was, by far, the best!
Steve, as a historian, was a wealth of information and passionate about Scotland, both past and present. He’s a true gentleman, and so easy-going, adjusting our itinerary along the way, when needed. By the end of our week together, I felt we were traveling with a friend, and not a tour guide. I’m now spoiled for all future travel, wanting Steve to accompany us everywhere! Thank you Steve, for memories that will last a lifetime!

My entire experience was fantastic. Steve was by far, the best guide anyone could have asked for. His knowledge of all of Scotland, was amazing. Every question we asked was answered. Steve was a very personable guide, driver, and a walking encyclopedia.
Steve was always prompt on his arrivals, always in great spirits, and just fun to be around. I tried to impart some south Louisiana phrases to him, which he acknowledged, but he probably didn’t understand. I would recommend Steve and his service to anyone wanting a premier tour of Scotland, and be prepared for a most enjoyable time. I met Steve with a thorough lack of anything SCOTTISH, but left with an immense sense of an education I could not have gotten anywhere else.
Thank you again, Steve, for a great time, and the vacation of a lifetime.

Steve is a joy to work with from start to finish. You will miss him when your trip is over. Extremely knowledgeable, but so kind and down-to-earth that you feel like you are on a trip with a friend. We would give him 100 gold stars if we could!

Steve, was amazing. So knowledgeable in everything Scotland. Very accommodating and never felt rushed. Willing to answer any and all questions. Felt very at ease with engaging in conversation. A true professional.

Getting to travel all over Scotland and having someone along to guide us as if we were time travelers learning all about history. We were thrilled with learning all about our family heritage. No question went unanswered and we also gained a friend in Steve.

When I read the reviews for Steve, I asked myself how could anyone get 5 Stars consistently. OMG...all I can say is, seeing beauty of Scotland was only surpassed by Steve's enthusiasm and knowledge of his homeland. During our 12 days with Steve, we toured 7 different cities. Our tour ranged from the lowlands to the highlands and seaside. Steve absolutely blew us away with his extensive knowledge of each town as well as each of the roads connecting the towns. We started in Edinburgh, then to St Andrews, followed by (in order) Inverness, Skye, Ft William, Oban and ending in Glasgow. I can't say enough good things about Steve and he treats his guests. Our goal was to trace my wife's roots as a McKenzie (Mackenzie). Steve's vast knowledge of history was supplemented with his extensive appreciation of Scottish genealogy.

Steve is absolutely amazing, as always! This was my 5th tour with Outlandish Journeys and I'm already planning my 6th! Steve is a fountain of knowledge and I learn something new every time I tour with him. He is funny, patient and very accommodating, which made for a great tour even though there were still a lot of closures due to COVID. Steve even drove me around Glasgow to try and find ice packs and first aid supplies when I twisted my ankle on the second to last day of our tour (FYI - my accident was after hours and not during the tour). 100% recommend and I can't wait to tour with him again! 15/10!

Spent the day with Steve on 30th December on a day trip from Edinburgh. Originally booked for all possible things Outlander and boy does he know his stuff. Everything you could possibly want to know he does and was able to give us a lot of insights about all of it. Also took us to other awesome places like Rosslyn Chapel and could tell us everything you would want to know. So knowledgeable and such a great service. Will definitely book again. Do yourself a favour and book with Steve.

Tour adapted to what are interests were. Steven made the tour the highlight of our time in Scotland. Would highly recommend his company to anyone venturing to Scotland.

I agree with Linda. We toured with Steve for 9 days, and saw many sites around Stirling, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and between Stirling and Inverness. You may want to decide what you want to see most, and how many days you have. If you want to go to Culloden, which is near Inverness, that might take a day on its own--and Falkland is on the way there. If you prefer to see Midhope, Doune, or Glasgow Cathedral, then you will need to stay in or near Stirling; and you may need 2-3 days. My favorite places were Midhope Castle, Doune Castle, Drummond Castle, Falkland, Glasgow Cathedral, and Culloden.

Hello, Steve, my name is Natalia. I've never been to Scotland, but I was very attracted to this beautiful country and its history. Still, I am a fan of the TV series "Outlander" and would like to visit the locations. Next year I plan to visit these wonderful places. I really liked the proposed tour of "Outlander", but I'm afraid I'll have problems. The fact that I am from Russia, I live very very far away from Europe, my city is Vladivostok, on the shores of the sea of Japan. Our travel Agency tours in Scotland does not offer, then have to fly to Moscow and there to take the tour. I have a question, do You work with any Russian travel agencies? If not, how can I find you? And another question, I really liked the comments about You and Your tours, but I bad speak and understand English, do you have Russian-speaking translators?

I'm afraid that all of my tours are in English, but I only do private tours, so you have me at your personal service and we can tailor the tour to your specific requirements...I think your English is just fine, so don't worry about that! :)
I can pick you up from anywhere in Scotland, so once you know where you'll be arriving, just let me know and I can certainly give you some options and ideas. I'm sorry, but I don't work direct with Russian (or any other Travel Agencies).

We will be visiting Scotland in May, staying in Stirling for 2 days, then Edinburgh. Unfortunately, we have already booked a tour of LIndisfarne, but we're trying to figure out how to see Stirling since we are staying in the town for 2 days.
This tour guide seems to have incredible reviews. I'm wondering what he offers for local day tours?
