Quick visit to these toilets when waiting to board the ferry...Although the gents certainly looked clean enough....the place was honking and smelled like they'd never been washed down since the Victorian age!!!

We visited the female toilets. Very clean. Beautifully decorated inside. There are baskets of female toiletries for you to help yourself to, if you need them.
The only downside was that the cubicle was rather small for myself and young daughter to use at the same time.

Definitely worth a visit. The male toilets are beautifully restored and impressive to see. The female toilets are more modern and not as impressive.

I’ve never been told I can take photos in a public toilet before. I have to say it was fantastic though. Beautifully restored.

Just by the harbour in Rothesay exists an unprepossessing toilet block, but when you go inside to, well, 'go', you're confronted with the most wonderful cisternal decoration this side of Rome. Seriously though, worth popping your head in just to have a look. Why not, all the women on the trip did too!

It was amazing in such good codition and so clean would reccomend people to go and visit this site better than toilets we have now

Well worth just a few minutes to take a look at nostalgia, I am sure they are still in the same condition as when they were first opened in 1899 at a build cost of £500

Beautiful toilets for the gents. Great to see how these looked in victorian times. Whilst not all areas are fully functioning they are still beautiful and amazing to see. Sadly it is only the gents toilets as the ladies are more modern but definitely not nice.

I guess Paul b has answered the question. I honestly would not have known, as we only visited on a day trip. But well worth the 40p for a wee visit.
