I chose to park at the Cwm Porth C/Park. This cost £6, but you had clean toilets and a staffed information shed. The main path which looped round was good. The paths which came off this to the waterfalls/viewing points are of differing qualities. Some had very deep steps, plenty of tree roots and uneven ground. You can pick up a map from the information point.

Visited Four Waterfalls today and went to all four waterfalls. We started with the one at point 35 which has 170 steps down to the waterfall but it’s worth every step and the burn walking back up afterwards as you can go behind the waterfall.
We then went to the other three waterfalls which are also magnificent.
I would strongly recommend getting there early as the crowds were building by lunch.

We arrived at lunchtime and was met by a friendly member of staff who explained about parking and talked through the route which was really helpful. Parking is £6. The route is really well signposted and takes you on a loop, the paths down to the waterfalls are steep in places with lots of steps which are a little muddy/ slippery due to the weather. The walk down is totally worth it as the waterfalls are stunning. The whole walk took us just under three hours and would highly recommend 😊

Beautiful walk, very quiet and peaceful with only a few happy walkers on the way. My only gripe - and I was warned about it before, but still fell foul - was the appalling signposting. There are posts along the way, but they peter out and you can end up completely lost. There was a map at the beginning of the walk, but it didn't really help with the sign posts gone. There was also lots of advertising for a small shop, but apparently this is only open at the weekend. The gunpowder factory was amazing, as were the falls.

This is such a good walk. I did this with my 10 & 11 year old. All four waterfalls are lovely especially the last one which you can walk behind. We parked in the car park by the start of the trail where there is a toilet if you need it. There is a little shop and food/drinks can at the start of the trail. The signposts around the trail are pretty easy to follow.

We had a great day walking the 4 waterfalls. Each waterfall was slightly different and the last one you could walk behind. Was awesome!

Very peaceful, a very beautiful trail. Majority of paths to the waterfalls do possess very steep and challenging steps but the views are definitely worth the exhaustion.

It was an amazing day out. The water falls are fantastic. Each one is very different.
I took so many photos and videos. I was in brilliant company and the sun was shining too. I would definitely do it again. Stunning

Not many waterfalls gives you the chance to get behind them.
Was very impressive and completely worth the walk, the forth watwrfall is the main event and is the furthest away but you can skip the 2nd and 3rd to speed it up if you are on a time constraint like I was.

Stunning place and definitely worth seeing if you’re in the area. I’ve wanted to visit for ages and I’m so glad we went. Beyond beautiful and worth the walk.
There are two car parks, card only, £6 and they fill up fast. No where else local to park properly. We parked at Cwm Porth, toilets are handy. Buying a map for £1 was great, especially knowing the money goes back to the park.
No bins on the way around so be prepared to take your litter home with you. It was VERY upsetting to see how many people clearly had room in their bags for crisps/drinks/sandwiches/wet wipes etc while they served a purpose…but once packets/bottles were empty, apparently they don’t have space to carry them anymore. Disgusting.
Several parts of the walk are tough going if you’re not a keen walker/hiker. Lots of steep steps and slippy bits but manageable if you take it slow. It’s all pretty rugged and natural as it should be. Just take your time if you’re not confident.
Shame about all the other people there. It’s been plastered all over social media so every man and their badly behaved dog was there. Go mid week when the kids are back at school though and it’s probably much better. Queueing to look at nature felt weird.

So there are toilets at the beginning but if I needed the toilet on route is there bushes or places to go toilet? Thanks

Cwm Porth Car Park has toilets open all year round. Gwaun Hepste Car Park has toilets from March to October. Other than that no toilet facilities in the area.

Is there a way to get to the falls walk via public transportation? If not, as an American how hard is to drive on the left?

I don't believe it is possible to get there on public transport. I'm in the USA at present and have adapted to drive on the right without problems but some of the roads you will drive are narrow so just take care.

Where is the best place to stay eg - area and I’ve looked on Trivago , Booking com hotels already- 2 adults and a child and dog, I do drive so can do a short drive to the waterfalls and also want to visit the caves. We are on a budget and thinking of staying 2 or 3 days.
Any advice appreciated looking to go in the next week or days!

we stayed in a cottage Swn-yr-adar 1/2 an hour awau. a perfect location and dog friendly You can find it on holiday cottages.

Yes, we were there with our 4 and 2 year old. Some of the steps are quite steep but they do have hand rails and everyone when we were there ( Good Friday so it was busy!) were very helpful and patient. Most of the paths are in good condition and look to have recently been recovered with fresh hard core. Hope you enjoy!

Tbh, even though we didn't and I didn't see anyone else having a BBQ around the waterfall's, although maybe up in the carpark area possibly.
That being said, it's a little bit of a hike around the falls and unless you have an Olympic athlete level of fitness, I would recommend a small picnic or see if you can sort something out for the carpark.

They are all on separate tracks off a circular path so you could go straight to the waterfall you want and then back. Try and pick the car park that is closest as there’s 3 car parks and I’m not sure which waterfall you are calling 4.
