Robin Hood panto was brilliant. Actors, costumes and 'adult' jokes made it a complete success. It was my grandson's first panto and he loved it. Thanks to staff and volunteers who are always amazing.

The staff were friendly and the theatre well-kept and maintained. I went to see an amateur production of Wind in the Willows and the fairest thing I can say is that it was definitely an amateur production for which I paid £12 :)

We were visiting Colwyn Bay and stumbled across Current exhibition of Michael Bennett’s Pier Closing Time photographs at Theatr Colwyn. As a keen film photographer it was fantastic to see this type of poignant exhibition being shown. However, we walked in to the theatre and having never been before, we wasn’t sure where to find the exhibition so waited in the reception. Behind us, two men walked in and out popped a male member of staff who immediately greeted the two men, asking if they were here for the photos. We stood there awkwardly whilst he chatted away about photography and other exhibitions to the other visitors and then proceeded to take them upstairs. After informing the staff member that we were also there for the exhibition the staff member rudely said “oh I assumed you were with the men”. This came across like he assumed we were the girlfriends of the male visitors and what was worse was that when we all went up for thur exhibition the staff member continued to explain the exhibition to the men only and completely ignored us.
The exhibition itself was small but a great memento of the late 70s and North Wales holidays and worth a viewing, for fans of Vivienne Maier.

We went to see the film 1917 last night and really enjoyed the film. A visit to Theatr Colwyn is always a special occasion as the staff are so welcoming and helpful. It was very full last night so it must be a popular venue. Llawer o ddiolch.

It is fantastic that Colwyn Bay Theatre has got involved with National Theatre Live
For anyone who doesn’t know what NTL is, it’s a way fantastic way of seeing London West End shows and The Royal Shakespeare Company productions your door step and at a fraction of the cost. They beam it live from the Theatre in London, sometimes they do encore showings which is a recording of a live performance.
Apart from NTL, Colwyn Bay Theatre also have a fantastic Christmas Pantomime and show current films.
The staff are always friendly and it is always very clean.

Fabulous evening to see a film lovely comfy chairs with plenty of leg room. Staaf of volunteers so helpful and really pleasant it was a delight the film was great too.

We love coming here to watch new films. The staff are always helpful. I love that we can come and see films without having to travel to far and it's usually cheaper too.

We took our 9 year old daughter to see Toy Story 4 at the 2.30pm showing on Wednesday. Oh my days! It was so noisy! Every time someone got up off their seat, the seat would bang on the back - children were getting up and down to the toilet every 2 seconds. I saw a few children go 4 or 5 times during the film!! - it was just ridiculous. There were 4 young boys who were having a competition as to who could bang their seat the loudest. Another lady came in with a baby who was no more than 6 months old and who kept crying, and she didnt take it out. All the children were rustling sweet wrappers all the way through the film. We also had a little girl aged about 2 in front of us and all she wanted to was climb on the seats and talk the whole way through. What a shame because it's a nice little theatre and it's relatively cheap in comparison to the bigger chain cinemas- im just glad i dont live in the area and have to use this venue all the time. If you want to actually hear the film you have booked and paid to see, then dont go to this venue, particularly a 'kids' film in the afternoon.

took my son here for an afternoon movie wow what a fantastic little gem this is and mostly run by volounteers who were so nice with everything great prices all around a fantastic afternoon you have to go if your in the area 10/10

Great local Theatre that also shows films at a much cheaper price than the big names.
Brilliant sound and screen.
There is a small cafe/bar. Tickets can be pre booked
Has a BRILLIANT family panto every year. Well worth a visit.

I am on holiday next year and want to book seats at the theatre as I am not aware of the seating could anyone please advise I prefer not to have too many rows of people in front of me but am worried about being too close.

I recommend that you go ahead and book for the row with which you are comfortable. If you can cope with four rows in front of you, that would be ideal. Go for it.
