We visited the grounds of the Christ Church during a treasure trail we completed around the town of Prestatyn. As we stood in the grounds trying to solve our final clue, we got to hear the church bells toll. Beautiful architecture.

IT sits nicely on the high street so you can't really miss it. It is list on a walk around the town. We went mainly to see the graves of Young boys all drowned on their way to church, but he whole place is worth a visit.

Looks a lovely church. Would have been nice to have had a look inside but the fact that they charged £2 to just walk in the place is ridiculous so we gave it a miss. There was a Christmas Tree Festival on at the time so maybe that is why they were charging???Churches are always moaning they get no one in..maybe people would have been happy to make a donation if it was voluntary rather than forced.

Having visited this beautiful church before we decided to visit again. Although it says it was open in fact we found the church doors locked. But it is worth a visit

Absolutely gorgeous church and lovely vicars, Was married first in 1983 by Clive Southerton, who was brilliant. Then married for the second time in 2003 and again lovely service. They are so welcoming in there, you can go whenever you want and just sit quietly.

This is a lovely church set in a well-kept cemetery garden. A peaceful place to sit and read, or just come to pay your respects.

We are in Prestatyn for the weekend and noticed this church on our drive down. After we had sorted out our bearings of the area we decided it was a must to take a walk up to the church for a visit.
I had a 3 and 5 year old with me - both who wanted to be carried up the hill so be aware of the steep entrance.
The stained glass inside is lovely, and although busy it was still very tranquil. Gave a donation and the kids walked around (attempting to) counting the windows.
Lovely (and for us previously unheard of) attraction in North Wales.

To clarify what happened when Janine visited. You did indeed come along during the one week of the year when admission is charged because of the Christmas Tree Festival which is a local highlight and a much needed fund raiser. It includes school choirs singing, voting for the trees entered by community groups who put in lots of hard work for their entries, handicrafts and other extras. At all other times, when the Church is open (which is most of the time) it is free for visitors to look around, to pray and to light candles. It is still free to light a candle even during the Festival. I'm sorry that you missed out on seeing the Church transformed in such a charming way (always the last week of November). I hope you'll try visiting Christ Church again and enjoyed the rest of your time in Prestatyn. David (the Vicar)
