I was visiting Anglesey with family members and booked a one hour trot for myself and two young children ( aged 9yrs and 6yrs) . We are all beginners. We were welcomed by a friendly Vicky who was working on the reception and after completing the necessary forms we were given riding hats. We had been allocated three horses according to our height, weight and abilitiy ( or lack of). There were 4 instructors to our group of 5 riders and they were fantastic. Really helpful and extremely friendly. They gave us a short lesson in the paddock before taking us on a ride around the immediate area. It was a lovely time and the girls will remember it for a long time.

A holiday hack that didn’t disappoint. I ride regularly at home but not a lot of opportunity to hack out. Was very impressed with the care of the horses, the fact they did an assessment & didn’t just take my word I could ride. Paddy was a good, experienced pony with a bit of go in him. We did a nice steady ride with some cantering round quiet bridleways. My instructor gave plenty of warning when we were approaching places to canter & was very friendly & informative. Will definitely go back if on holiday there. Price very reasonable for a private hack (certainly in comparison to where I live).

i love going to see the horses especially gus moonbeam chester diego lenny jingo paddy and especially sally who i used to catch in gorswen fields now i miss tonto who passed away tonto was the one horse who taught me how to ride and i used to relma who also passed away now

Certainly wouldn't go to Angelsey Riding Centre again.They made a mistake with the booking on the phone with my granddaughters weight. They were extremely rude to my daughter even though it was their mistake.Hence neither of them was able to have a hack although both experienced riders.Our whole day was ruined.

This was a surprise for my 2 girls and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived to when we left, we were made to feel very welcome. We were allowed to pet the horses before we started our ride and both girls loved this..
We did the ‘Lead rein’ which lasted 30mins. We were in a group of four and lead by 2 of the staff, who were so friendly and chatty. My girls had Poppy and Patch. They were fantastic and very well behaved and my girls didn’t want to get off at the end. We went down some of the local roads before returning to the riding Center.
This was fantastic and complete value for money… It didn’t take long before I was being asked when can we do this again..

A lovely place with friendly and knowledgable staff, who put you at ease and ensure you know the basics. The horses are great and clearly very well looked after. Me and my five year old daughter had a nice 1 hour walk and we felt very safe. The only thing keeping me from giving this a 5 star review is the photo on the flier; I found it a little misleading - it looks like a very unique riding experience alongside the sea and Snowdonia coastline, but in reality the ride was a very contained one along the narrow country roads, so it didn't have that wow factor I was hoping for. There were some nice views across to Caernarfon at times, however. If there was a half day experience that incorporated some of the beach (maybe with a little stop-off) I'd have snapped it up!

Friendly yard with horses and ponies galore. Great for riders and non-riders alike. We had an hour session for our group - two who’d never sat on a horse before, one who can ride in walk independently and two experienced riders - all of us enjoyed our time together. Will definitely return if we visit Anglesey again.

Enquired the evening before our visit via email, we are on holiday in the area. John called me back the next morning and arranged a one hour led ride for my 10 year old.
Rebel was the horse my 10 year old daughter went on and the staff were very helpful and attentive. My daughter is a beginner having had one led ride last summer at another stables.
First part of ride was in the paddock before being led out on the track. We were able to take our dog on a lead on the yard the horses were kept in great condition and the facilities are excellent.
The stables is right by a rocky beach which gives views of wales. We were lucky it was a sunny nice day and enjoyed a beach walk knowing our daughter was having the best time. Defiantly recommend and would revisit when back in area.

Lovely friendly welcome and excellent customer service when booking. My daughter loved her lead rein ride on Daisy and is super keen to take up horse riding!

Hi, We shall be staying in Benllech from the 29 Dec to 5 Jan16. What are your opening times after Xmas? There are there of us of varying ability from my son in law at 17 and never been on a horse, to my partner who loves horses and has hacked on a few occasions but not recently, to myself who has ridden a lot, but never consistently enough to progress to being fully competent. My confidence is better than my technical ability .. ha ha. What are your costs for a 2 hour hack?

Hi Darren. Sorry for the slow reply, we've never had an enquiry direct through Tripadvisor before, and I'm not used to checking for them, although I will in future! (Also, I've been away for a couple of days and only just found it)
We are closed on the 24th - 27th, open 28th - 31st, closed Jan 1st, then open as normal.
