Although mainly for children it was actually quite pleasant to go round as pensioners when it was quiet. One of the best butterfly houses we have visited. the display cases almost all had something you could actually see, which is a refreshing change for these sorts of places. The concrete floor is not just wet in places but slimy and slippery and badlyneed jetting to make it safe.

I won't be visiting again. The main attraction of the entire thing was the massive playground in the middle of the park; not very appropriate when it was my myself and my partner visiting. We went at very quiet time of day and year. Wouldn't recommend for a couples visit as I appears to be aimed at children.
We noticed that the animal enclosures were not in great shape and in clear need of up updating. I don't think we will be visiting again.

While on holiday, we took our grandsons to Pili Palace.
Unfortunately, because it was a very wet / rainy day, a lot of families had the same idea. As a consequence, it was very overcrowded, and it was difficult to get a disabled parking space . The regular parking area was chocker block. However, the children enjoyed seeing the various animals, reptiles, and insects and had some time between rain showers to play outside.

Visited today with our kids(9,7,3). Kids enjoyed it although it was very busy and at times cramped as the indoor areas are confined. Toilets were a big let down as no toilet roll, smelt awful and were clearly not maintained throughout the day. Overall it is worth a visit but the finer details let them down.

Walking into your venue was like walking in the past, nothing has changed, maybe a couple of extra little bits outside, everything is tired and needs a good clean, so we won’t be back it’s a totally waste of money.

As a family of 4 we actually enjoyed the animals and interesting exhibits so would recommend visiting. It was very busy and staff in the cafe were struggling to cope, however having waited in a queue for 30 mins I was then told that my portion of chips would be a 40 minute wait! How is that possible? We left on that note with a grumpy and hungry 11 year old.
Recommend you take a picnic rather than using the cafe.

This is a little gem of a place and is easily the best value for money for a family day out in Anglesey. Butterfly section is fab, a few even landed on us. Loads of other animals to see from parrots, bugs, reptiles, dwarf mice, rabbits, guinea pigs and can stroke the goats. Also a fantastic outdoor play area, and also a softplay inside. Electric tractors fun and worth the £1.

5 adults, nothing to do on a rainy holiday day. we enjoyed a couple of hours visiting the various animals and reptiles. great chat with the young lady feeding the 2 donkeys. would have loved to handle some reptiles but was told this was mostly at weekends.

Went with our friends and their 2 kids aged 4 and 7 and spent 4 hours there. What a lovely day with all sorts of creatures including meerkats, snakes, parrots, lizards, donkeys, pigs, goats and lots and lots of tropical butterflies. The kids loved the many different play areas - with different levels to suit different ages. Lovely food in the cafe. Well worth the money - highly recommended.

Most of it is indoors, but there are some play areas outside. It was raining the day we went, so yes, they'd be a good idea.

No you can not take a dog into the attraction but I do not think there would be any problem with you letting the dog out on a lead in the parking area. Most of that is a grass field area anyway. Obviously you would need to pick up any deposits the dog may make. We had our dog with us. It was an overcast rainy day so she stayed in the car.
