A great example of an old village of hut circles and not made a big deal of so it was nice and quiet. Well worth the short leg stretch to see it.
It's across a couple of fields and up some steps so isn't accessible to all

Ancient Romano-Celtic farmstead. Din means guarded and it's surrounded by the remains of a wide wall.
Inside are two roundhouses and some Roman influenced rectangular buildings (foundation stones of course).
Fantastic place to visit. Short walk across farmer's sheep field and past a 14th Century chapel ruin.
I would recommend taking a picnic as you can sit on the stones.
Parking is free and on the road. The site is signposted. You can easily fit 5 or 6 cars along the widened parking area, and also turn around to go back down the single track to the main road.
Entry is free and the site is in the care of CADW.

A lovely place to visit especially if you are interested in ancient history. It is easy to find especially with google maps. The walk/stroll to the site passes the ruined church of Lligwy which is in a stunning setting over looking the bay. The site is well kept and the grass mowed and kept well under control. Nice and quiet too!

It's well worth the effort to get here and not too difficult to find - quite close to Moelfre. Parking is in a layby almost opposite a stile. Simply walk down the path through the woodland for about 5 minutes and you will find it. I visited in late afternoon so had the place to myself.
The site is very well preserved with information boards which tell you the history. The chapel close by it also worth a visit.

Well worth a visit a very historical and atmospheric area. There is a large lay-by near by and access the site via a little stone stile as you walk across the field you pass a little chapel and as you walk further, it has signs up and pass through the gate of the wooded area leading up to the site (the few steps are stone so be careful on walking up) the site is quite extensive and worth a respectful walk around- it was very quiet whilst we were there we had the area to ourselves ,
We combined the visit with the burial chamber just further up the road
The views area stunning

An amazing experience, quiet and stunning place that allows you to take in the historical aspects of the village. Well kept, informative and kept simple, not overly commercialised. Well worth a visit.

What an interesting experience. These ruins are in good condition and leave you imagining what life would have been like in something like the roundhouse.

This is an amazing spot: the remains are remarkably extensive and extremely atmospheric. The final bit of the path is a wee bit bumpy!

The remains of the stone settlement are from the 3rd and 4th century It is a mixture of Roman and Celtic people that lived here. Some of the remains may be from a much earlier period. We walked about ¼ mile to the remains of the 12th century church, of which little is known about. There was probably a community built around it, but nothing remains. Well worth a stop.

Tucked away down a quiet country lane you can step back in time and imagine what it was like many years ago. Also an ancient church and megalithic burial site make This a great place for history lovers. Wonderful
