This is one of the amazing sandy beaches in Rhosneigr where you can walk for miles in spectacular scenery. It also has the bonus of being dog friendly all year round. I was very impressed at how it clean it was too.

What a windy day , after a lovely meal we walked it off on a very breezy / windy day on the beach , the drifting sands were fun, a very popular beach something for everyone

Lovely beach with beautiful sand dunes. Unspoiled and clean. Wonderful area for walkers and for families and very popular with those who enjoy water sports and wind sporting activities. Weather was dry, when we visited, and we enjoyed a fairly long stroll .
Rhosneigr is a lovely town. We bought baguettes and ice creams from a local café and enjoyed a little picnic. This is an ideal place to visit.

Our happy place. Beautiful clean beach and glorious dunes. Dogs had a wonderful time playing on the sands.

Great clean beach. Great to watch the planes departing RAF Valley.
Coffee shop close by. It was pleasing to see most dog owners respect the 'non dog lovers' by putting them on a lead when close to us. Parking was fairly easy. Recommended.

If you are into wind / water sports this is the beach for you , we had a great afternoon watching the crazy wind surfers “ no fear “

Beautiful calm beech, lovely walk for all. Can easily spend 2 hours on a dry day walking from the high street in the opposite direction. Plenty of exits on the way to take a break.

The beach is so amazing but the bad points are.
1) No parking.
2) No taxis in rhosneigr.
3) You have to walk from the train station not good if you are with OAPs and disable people.

Beautiful beach, clean sands stretching into the distance. We visited on a very warm September day, not too busy and people respecting social distancing. Couldn't believe how quiet the beach was, lovely place to visit.

Lovely quiet (October) vast stretch of beach. Lots of interesting rocky outcrops dotted about on the sands but loads of room for wandering round with the dog. This is a very unspoilt beach and is beautiful. Don’t expect loads of busy facilities as they are only minimal but definitely enough. Far reaching views across the dunes too. Absolutely loved it.

The train station near the village is a request stop. It is just over a mile away from the beach so it would probably take you about 20 mins to walk there via Station Rd.

It's a village and not a town
it's not too big but does have a great variety of shops from a beautiful fish and chip shop to a chaplins Cafe. There are3 very good public houses a library a beautiful gift shop another shop that sells everything to do with the sea from flip flops to wet suits. They also give Surf board lessons if you're interested. We have 2 grocery stores a good hairdressers a lovely clothes shop ok it's a tad experience but the next nearest town is either Bangor...10mins drive away with three night clubs loads a bars and pubs marks and Spencer a Debenham plus the usual clothing shops of new look Claire accessories and so many more including Tesco 24hours. Llangefni is the other town it has a huge pet store called the Farm and pet place asda stores Lidlington and Aldington plus a wholesale meat shop that is open to the public as well dam good fresh meat at such reasonable prices. if you'd like to know more please don't hesitate to contact me. kind regards karen

Yes it is. In the village drive on to Beach Road and there is an accessible vehicle ramp at the bottom which you can easily access the beach from. 'Surf Cafe' on this road too and some road space to park with a blue badge.

I have only visited this little village during summer months but I seem to remember there being a shop opposite the fish and chip shop. It was well stocked inside. There are lots of supermarkets now so you should easily be able to get everyday essentials.
