Built in 2012 by a local builder ,this is relatively young paddle boat moored at Thompsons Beach Cobram and provides rides up and down the Murray River. Not operating at the moment sadly.

Only an hour and a half cruise, but one gets an idea of the might of the river, and even saw a koala! Light snacks on offer, plus tea, coffee, etc. A little cool on our day, but still a pleasant experience. Captain John did a short commentary, and Abby (?) a very able assistant.

We arrived at the river just in time to unexpectedly go on the cruise. With 2 year old twins we were pleased to see the enclosures deck area. The twins also loved the “hidden” oval window to view the waterwheel paddle in action. We even saw two koalas in the trees. Captain gave twins a chance at the wheel too. Recommend.

We had a lovely relaxing cruise on the Murray. The food was good and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend this trip to do.

If you are looking for a great value Murray river paddlewheel experience you cant go past this one.. 90minutes return on the Cobba along the Murray river with all its wild life and flora. We spotted koalas in trees and abundant birdlife during the trip and the skipper John was very knowledgeable for an expat Kiwi (which made my kiwi wife and sister inlaw happy)...

Nice small paddle boat, the staff were very friendly, we were lucky to only have a few couples and family's on board.
1.5 Hours on the Murray river with commentary on the area, good priced food on board (Scones with jam and a cuppa is the way). they had a good variety of food for the trip.
The scenery was nice and peaceful just to sit back and take in.
Strongly recommend a visit.

Highly recommend taking this excellent cruise along the Murray that leaves from the excellent Thompson’s Beach.
The highlight for our kids was the friendly captain allowing our kids to sit in the “drivers seat”
Great commentary as we passed the various beaches and under the historic bridge.
We even saw a couple of koalas in the trees.
TIP: hot food or ice cream available on board or buy food to eat under the trees from cafe while you wait

If you want to have a look at the Murry River and it's affect on NSW/VIC this trip is awesome. Very friendly on the boat and was now where near overcrowded.

Had a terrific outing today on the paddlesteamer “Cobba”. A very pleasant 90 minute cruise up the mighty Murray River. Great commentary during the trip with lots of history and background of passing locations. Café/Bar on board if you’re feeling peckish. All in all, great value for money and thoroughly recommended.

How much does it cost to take a private group of approx 30-35 guests fo a 2hr cruise approx 5pm either weekday or weekend

You would need to contact them directly for a charter price I would imagine - not sure if the boat would hold that many passengers ?
