My wife and I visited this place a few days ago, as part of our holiday in Mount Dandenong where we stayed for two nights in a holiday cottage.
This was our second visit, as we were here two years ago. We enjoyed our previous visit so much that we wanted to visit again.
The collection of plants and the design of the Gardens are magnificent. We were here at 10 am on a Wednesday morning when it was not crowded, which made it more pleasant for walking across the whole place.

A friend had recently visited so we thought we would head off to see ‘the blue lotus’ for ourselves and we were pleasantly surprised. There is an admission fee which may seem steep but when you see how much work has to be put in to keep this property functioning, expanding and improving, it is worth every cent. We happily walked around the river walk weaving our way throughout the various areas as we didn’t want to miss anything. It is very pretty, peaceful and calming. They had numerous picnic tables and even bbq’s throughout the property and play areas for kids making it a great place to spend 1/2 a day with the family. Well done and we are so glad we made the trip to come and see this beauty. We will return.

Extremely underwhelming. Just the same ponds over and over. Staff were under trained and terribly long queues for everything.

The gardens were very beautiful, but the food was dreadful, and the visit was marred by this. I would recommend taking your own

It is all the same, monotonous. All there is are lakes with leaves in them and you have to pay $23 to get in only to see leafs and trash looking flowers.

We went here with out 2 children. Value for money wasn't the greatest. Definitely once you've seen one lotus you've seen them all. Thought we would try something different as we were in the area to waste some time. Nothing special

My wife and I visited this place on a Wednesday morning at 10 am. There were very few visitors and we were alone for most of the time during our walk across the entire Garden. Excellent for social distancing.
Blue Lotus Water Garden spans over 50,000 square meters, with dozens of ponds, two lakes, several fountains and walking tracks.
It features the Giant Amazon Waterlilies, Kakadu Lagoon Native Waterlily display, Tropical World complex, Claude Monet Waterlily display, Monet's Lake Bridge Walk, Lotus Lake, Lotus Wetlands, Golden Lotus display, Little Yarra River Trail, Flower Fairy Garden, Monet's Rotunda and much more.
We brought our own lunch and coffee from home and had our lunch at one of the many tables and benches that has undercover from the sun. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this spectacular place.

Blue lotus water lily park was amazing. We spent almost half a day admiring the blooms and enjoyed their snacks at the outlet. It was a rare experience to see so many species of water lilies in bloom and many other water plants on display. Some had crazy colours and petal arrangements. It was a day well spent.

Wow. These gardens are impressive. Although I would not have visited if it was not for my wife, I'm impressed.
I would imagine we will return with the family for a pick nick.

Yarra Junction or Warburton would be the closest town locations. Beautiful beside the Yarra River.

Hi There.
Im thinking of taking the family there in early October. Would it be nice then with many blossomed flowers?
撰写日期:2017年9月6日
Lotus flowering season is late Dec to early April. As such the garden is only open at this time. Visit their website to get the details. Feb is probably the best time as it is warmer and most lotus have bloomed by then. After this - you might see more seed pods than blooms! Visit earlier in the day for less crowds.

I'm hoping to visit next week with elderly frail mother. Do you have wheelchair to hire?
撰写日期:2016年10月27日
visited today with my elderly mother. We got a wheelchair from the front desk (no charge, but suggest you book before arrival in case they are all loaned out)...
The Main Trail is mostly compressed gravel but an easy push in the wheelchair.. some steep grades / sections at times but they can be avoided.

Yes you can catch the Lilydale line train to end of line ( Lilydale) then catch the Warburton bus from station, make sure you check time tables though because not very frequent, worth the effort tho

Are there still lots in bloom so close to end of season thinking of bringing kids up tomorrow

Hi, we don't have as many lotus flowers, however the giant lily looks great and so does the garden in general. We close for winter at 4pm on Sunday the 3rd.

I note that you don't allow dogs on leashes unless they are qualified guide dogs. Is this a blanket rule with no exceptions? I understand why you must have such a rule (mainly because people don't respond well to being asked to pick up after their dogs, etc). My reason for asking is that my wife and I have been qualified Dog Trainers for the past 43 years, and we currently train about 40 dogs per week in formal classes. Our own dog is a sooky German Shepherd about 3 years old, who absolutely frets if she is left any further away than a bum-print from her owner. She is a party-girl, everyone's friend, doesn't mind "on leash" and comes with us everywhere. Your "blanket rule" simply means that we visit other places than your establishment.

Hi Greg, unfortunately we don't allow any dogs or animals in the garden or carpark due to our insurance policy. The exception is guide dogs.
