I really enjoyed the opportunity to see Third Man Records. This was a daytime trip to the record store only. Neat eclectic decorations and equipment. I was disappointed that the booth for recording your voice to a record was out of order! The listening booth was cool and sounded good.
It would be awesome if you could ship your order from the store. Price is the same as buying online, but selection isn’t the same and none of the special edition vinyl are online in particular.
Limited free parking onsite. Definitely worth the stop!

I'm a older music nerd who attended an event in The Blue Room, then a store visit and facility tour the next day. I had little idea what to expect.
The Blue Room is a comfortable venue with a great vibe. Staff was friendly and made me feel very welcome. None of that "velvet rope" nonsense - this place is friendly, welcoming, and fun. A very cool space regardless of event. Even had a fun chat with the security guy as I was waiting for my Uber after the show.
The next day I expected a little record store, but this is so much more. The decor and selection were far more than expected. Many recordings I've not seen anywhere else, and the staff was (again) great about making me feel welcome and helping me discover new music. Store includes several old relcording machines, a sound booth, and quite a collection of fascinating stuff. I left with an armload of records.
Highlight was the facilty tour (hosted by the amazing Katie!). Laid back, informative, and so much to see. As though I'd met a new friend who was showing me around their family's cool house. Facility includes 1950s recording equiptment (still in use), unexpectedly fun/unusual decor, and a curated collection of all kinds of cool stuff including a working photo booth. But this is no museum - it's a working business with employees who never made us feel like we were intruding. (Note: Staff politely holds your cell phone during the tour - no one in our group objected, and there were no problems.)
I felt like an insider who got a peek into this cool little world on 7th Avenue.

This is a very cool shop, but I can't help but compare it to the Detroit location where you can actually watch vinyl being pressed to make the records. Still, this one had the Monkey Band, and is definitely worth a stop.

We got a private tour (non-traditional tour) from our friend who works there. It was awesome. we got to play with guitar pedals and amps in the store (open to public, and not busy). We took analog photobooth pics in an old fashioned booth - 3 minutes to develop! Saw the legos from the fell in love with a girl video, I was starstruck by those legos. Beware there’s a lot of taxidermy. It felt like Jack White was listening in through a peephole everywhere, the whole staff is dressed in the label’s color scheme (yellow & black) and everyone seems scared to talk about his guacamole (I think he’s sensitive about it - no need to be, king, we truly respect!). The decor is intense, very yellow. No windows. Cool place!

Record store and recording booth inside. Lots of vinyl, displays, merchandise. Jack White owned and operated. His newest album was released the day we were there and people were lined up outside.

Not so much a record shop. more what someone who'd never spent much time in a real record shop would imagine one would be like. Incredibly pretentious staff, overpriced reissues of records that are not that rare, and a total hipster con job, attempting to be the gentrifying shock troops for an area whose problems are a lot deeper than the lack of Jack White memorabilia.

If you love Jack White you need to visit this place. Bought some vinyl, t-shirts, stickers and had a cool time looking at everything inside the store. Staff were kind and friendly. Will not disappoint.

Cannot even explain how our visit went without a heart palpitation! First of all-JACK. WHITE. Ok so this place is the coolest spot in Nashville. We love the White Stripes, love Jack. It was like literally walking through one of his amazing music videos. The cashiers and workers were so nice so helpful and very welcoming. We jammed in the listening room, bought our merch, looked through all the records, never felt rushed or judged! It was wonderful. And thirdly...JACK. WHITE.

What a great spot for music fans. This is fun shop with lots of cool things to look at. You can get vinyl records here too. I went to buy items for my brother & really enjoyed the shop myself.

The parking lot we parked at was directly across the street from the entrance toThird Man. That parking lot is in between Third Man and City Winery. We were there for about an hour and a half or so and nobody seemed to mind. I should say, if it was "illegal" we didn't see any signs and we weren't ticketed. Hope that helps.
