Great experience when you are in Bandera to learn more about the cowboy culture. Every 3rd Sunday afternoon they do a Cowboy singalong with local musicians all free to public. So much fun!!!

The museum has many items from Frontier Times (hence the name) and some of them are very unique. The problem I had was that nothing was in order. Everything is thrown together and to be honest it's a bit overwhelming. Maybe that's just my OCD kicking in but it really is a mess. On the plus side the lady working here is super nice and they have a small gift shop. I don't think I'll visit again unless they get it organized.

The first room was a mishmash of donated items with no rhyme or reason to be in the same room. There were other rooms dedicated to people who lived in Bandera that became well known. That was more interesting.

I spent about 30 minutes in the museum. It was unique and a good opportunity to get a sense of the history of the area. Glad I stopped by.

The odd and eclectic nature of this collection serves as a testament to the eclectic interests of the founder and her personal collection. From a shrunken head from South America to sea shells to oddities to early Texas to cowboy memorabilia, this small museum covers lots of territory. For me the material from early Texas and the cowboy memorabilia and saddles were the highlight. Allw a half hour or so.

Had time while in Bandera and always nice to gain local knowledge of the community. It was fun reading about the Rodeo Champions from the area. And some are very recent. Enjoyed the Kinky Friedman for Governor campaign items. He is a hoot. Lots of cool items to check out.

Really neat little museum. It was reasonably priced, unexpected artifacts, friendly and helpful staff. My girls really enjoyed this little quaint museum.

Lovely little museum that packed in tons of artifacts and information of the area, Texas, and other important events. Could spend an hour or more in here easily.
