I saw this place on tripadvisor and thought that I would check it out. The front gate stated that they are only open seasonally and summer isn't the season for them to be open. Perhaps next time if we are in the area because it does look like a neat place. Call ahead to verify hours.

The store portion of QCM (fka ICM) has quite an unusual variety of items from ice flap caps to organic musical alligator to all types of containers. Outside, the hydroponic greenhouse and solar power control house are interesting stops.

Loved this place just because it's "out there."

Not only is this a store with a hodge podge of miscellaneous stuff. It has a sculpture garden, ponds, and green houses.

It is also off the grid... Powered by solar panels that are accessible to the visitors.

Actually, I think they've changed their name to Quirky Country Market, and that's exactly what they are! Quirky. You never know what you'll find there -- holiday decorations, artwork, camping gear, greeting cards, games, toys, puzzles, gag gifts, candles, kitchen utensils... and that's just scratching the surface. Great place to shop or even to just roam and look around. It's always fun.

This place is unique and different to say the least. Enjoyed the walk of the whole place. Not sorry I came. Solar and hydroponics interest me.

Dan and Michele are terrific! They made our first visit very memorable. The whole place is amazing to see, the store is huge with everything you could imagine and even with things you could never imagine!! A must see and allow two hours at a minimum for your visit. It is open only Saturday and Sundays. Be sure to walk outside to the gardens, visit the solar area, and don't forget to check out the hydroponic gardens. And, there is a huge mini train set up that operates the last Sunday of each month.

This place is as interesting as a museum combined with a science fair combined with Future Farmer's of America. This "retired" inventor and his spouse had a retirement dream of opening a "store". What they have is a wonderful combination and new and old, novelty and practicality. You can find old school items as well as technology. I purchased some old soviet NVGs for my son. They have a jewelry area that has the story and place of origin of the artist that make them. If you are close enough, please stop by. The business is family run and they are a great bunch. Stop by and say hi.

This is a one of a kind place. I've traveled all over the U.S. and Europe, and I never came across anything like this. If you want to know more about solar power or hydroponics this is the place for you. They give classes. They even have art, antiques, plants, and old books for sale. If that's not enough they have a tremendous inventory of quirky merchandise that appeals to kids of all ages. It is almost like an old five and dime that went completely off the wall...I mean grid. They are only open Saturday and Sunday. You might want to call the number on their website to make sure they are open.

Interesting place and well worth the visit! When you first enter the store you are either greeted by an employee or the owner who asks if this is your first visit. Since this was our first time there, she explained the fact that the whole complex is "off the grid" since it is powered by numerous solar panels. She also said that in addition to the store that in the back was a model train layout, a greenhouse, a pond, and an outdoor "art garden" and we were more than welcome to visit them. The "store" had all kinds of odds and ends, handcrafted items, old magazines, and toys. All reasonably priced. Although the model train only ran on the last Sunday of the month during the winter (you can still view the layout), the other places were very interesting. This is a place for adults and kids alike and expect to spend at least 45 mins to an hour seeing everything. The owners and all the employees were very courteous and helpful and you also get a free bottle of "off the grid" water.
Highly recommended.
