This neighborhood has plenty of restaurants and quirky little shops. There's a mix of luxury high rise apartment buildings and beautiful single family homes. There is a large gay population and a beautiful rainbow sculptures welcoming you to the neighborhood. I really enjoyed this neighborhood.

This is one of the few groovy neighborhoods in Dallas, some diversity, some nice streets for walking around to see what they have. Cool restaurants and bars. A different vibe.

As with any urban redevelopment, Oak Lawn is filled with wonderful restaurants, some entertainment facilities and a flavor of urban life that resonates to the young emerging career crowd. Know what you are seeking and have a good GPS

The center of Gay life in Dallas. Filled with restaurants, bars and shopping. Always filled with people of every sexual gender. Very pleasant and safe area. Home of the Dallas Pride Parade every year.

Oak lawn has many great places to eat but make sure to make a reservation because every place is pretty packed.

There is a wide range of housing in this area from the newest to the oldest and slummiest. The atmosphere ranges from upscale restaurants, ethnic restaurants such as Thai, Vietnamese and Mexican to gay bars with their patrons getting personal on the public streets and in the parking lots behind the bars.

Seems the retail and nightclub owners are starting to re-invest in thier businesses. Many retail stores are getting a facelift. Several new retail stores are moving in. There has been an addition of a couple new restaurants/eateries. A cool new art gallery has also moved in on Cedar Springs. And a couple of the nightclubs have changed it up a bit... If you are looking for something specific then make sure you jump on line and do a little research so you are at the right place on the right night to have a good time.
