Not my favorite place to spend time but occasionally we meet with friends or shop at Apple store. As December 2019 several old buildings are demolished, fences are built up and construction started. Still can get an access to shops and restaurants.

many shops to choose from for great gifts or home goods/restaurants are wonderful and varied/close to Downtown Dallas

There are many shops and restaurants in this area. The Sushi is good. There are several really good Mexican Food restaurants in addition to Mediterranean and Indian cuisine.
There are quality furniture stores, a store with unusual toys and even an ice cream place. Shop, Eat, Enjoy and experience a slice of Dallas that will leave you wanting to return for more.

This is a fun area of town. It is near SMU so in the evenings it is more of a college scene but during the day it is a great place to shop for yourself or your home as there are some great decor stores there. I love the specialized clothings stores for all tastes. For those that love vintage, Vintage Martini is a MUST!! This store was actually featured in the first few scenes of the first episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas that that is because it truly is a place the "seen and be seen" set will shop but anyone can love it as there are cool items there for every budget. I've been going there for years. As for eating, I LOVE Velvet Taco. They have the most unique tacos for everyone! It's very casual with a texas flare. Reminds me of someplace I would see in Austin. It has the kind of vibe and is great for lunch or dinner, families, friends or a date. Parking in the Knox-Henderson area is something I have never had a problem finding but it can get a bit congested in the evenings when the club scene starts. There is so much more, I'm just trying to give you an idea. Enjoy!

This is a wonderful area of Dallas with many unique restaurants and shops. There are a few chains here, but overall some great dinning. Parking can be a bit difficult at times, but overall worth it! Close to downtown and Uptown area!

For three or four blocks on either side of Central Express on Knox (west side) and Henderson (east side) streets. Great people watching along the Katy Trail which intersects Knox St. One of our favorite brunch places - Toulouse Cafe is on Knox at Katy Trail and our favorite restaurant in Dallas - Abacus - is just a block south of Knox on McKinney Ave. Very crowded on weekend nights, so reservations are a must at most of the restaurants.

Knox-Henderson describes a mile long strip of restaurants and stores laid out along a single street, "Knox-Henderson" (actually two streets that run together as one), that is located about 4-5 miles north of downtown on the edge of University Park/Highland Park, the toniest of residential neighborhoods in Dallas. Knox-Henderson is bisected by Highway 75 Highway 75, with Knox Street on the west of Highway 75 and Henderson on the east. If the weather is nice, the Knox-Henderson area is a great place to get a casual meal and do some shopping. The larger concentration of restaurants and retail are located on Knox Street, while Henderson is generally home to antique stores, some to restaurants and a few bars.

We enjoyed wandering through the area and checking out all of the stores and restaurants. Many interesting boutiques were present, as were other known decorating and design retailers. Great restaurants nearby as well.

An area of Dallas with restaurants and shops. A great area to walk around, explore the shops, have a drink and enjoy the time. Check out the soda fountain at the pharmacy. You do not see many now days!
