This morning I went to the Joule Spa with a party of 4 for a spa day planned months in advance. Upon arrival at 7:30 am Saturday morning, we were told 2 of the 4 reservations had been canceled. We were told they tried to contact the 2 parties but were unable to reach them. We asked for an email in which they could not provide. We asked the contact information they had on file, and it was correct, although they also claimed one number had been disconnected. For an establishment like The Joule, I would have expected an apology and them to go out of their way to make it right. THis did not happen. Although after much discussion they provided two 50-minute massage gifts cards, not the 110 minutes service we had scheduled. Again, they did not inform us that the giftcard was for a 50 minute service. We did not realize this until we got home - again not forthcoming. The Joule Spa fell very short on what should have been a very special family celebration

I preface this review by saying I have been to the spa two times and had amazing experiences, but after today I will not be back. A group of 4 of us had massages for a bachelorette weekend in Dallas at 8am Saturday 10/19. We show up promptly Saturday morning only to find out 2 of our appointments had been cancelled. We were shocked! They told us they called and emailed us but I did not show a call or email sent. So that was clearly a lie. They went on to confirm our information was correct and FINALLY ended up admitting no email was sent to myself. I understand mistakes happen but truly the worst part was the customer service. For an expensive and top rated spa, I am so disappointed in the lack of empathy or apology! The staff did not do anything to make it right and was going to charge a cancellation fee for the appointments still in tack even though two of the 4 in our group, appointments were cancelled! I work in customer service and am appalled at how the Spa at the Joule handled everything. They would not take accountability or offer a gift card to reschedule my 110 min service. I have been told the Spa Manager Lisa is going to give me a call. That has not happened. Completely disgusted with how their personnel handled the situation and ruined what was supposed to be a fun Saturday morning celebrating our bride.

I booked this spa for my girlfriend's birthday after reading great reviews online. The idea of using the amenities (pool, steam room, sauna) an hour before and an hour after seemed like a fantastic way to enhance the experience beyond a typical spa visit.
Our appointment was at 8 am, and the email stated to arrive an hour before to enjoy the amenities. We arrived at 7:15 am, valet parked, and attempted to get on the elevator, but the spa button wasn’t working. I asked the front desk if we needed a key card, only to be told the spa doesn’t open until 7:30 am. This was frustrating because the email stated otherwise, and it reduced our time to enjoy the amenities before our massage.
At 7:35 am, the elevator button started working, and we, along with two other guests, made our way to the reception. The couple in front of us checked in without issue, but when it was our turn, the receptionist couldn’t find our reservation. This was baffling as I had multiple confirmation emails and had even received a phone call confirming the reservation two days prior.
We stepped aside while the receptionist checked in the next guest, who quickly voiced her frustration as she received the same email stating to arrive an hour early. The receptionist explained that for 8 am appointments, guests are allowed to use the amenities for two hours after, rather than one hour before. In my opinion, if this is the policy, that is fine, but it should be communicated. I had made brunch reservations based on the email sent to me, so the two-hour post-massage use of amenities was not helpful.
Meanwhile, the other guest was visibly upset and canceled her reservation, demanding to speak with the manager, which lets just say, wasn’t very relaxing. Once she left, the receptionist continued to look into our reservation. She was very apologetic and offered to let us use the amenities and reschedule the massage, but it’s my girlfriend’s birthday, I’ve done everything correctly, have confirmation emails, received a phone call confirmation, how could this possibly have happened? Apparently they are unable to search by the confirmation number, but after I get frustrated she asks what my email is. Using my email she finds the reservation under my girlfriend’s name, despite me booking it and all confirmation communications being addressed to me. Bizarre and perhaps something was manually entered into their system wrong.
Eventually, we got everything sorted and began our massages, which were excellent. We then used the pool for an hour, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
The manager did stop by to acknowledge our trouble checking in, which was appreciated, but we were trying to relax and chose not to discuss it further at that moment. Upon checkout, the receptionist offered us a discount due to the inconvenience, which was a nice gesture, but honestly, I would have preferred to pay the full price without the drama.
Overall, while the actual spa services were great, the disorganization and lack of clear communication significantly detracted from the experience, especially considering the premium price.

The Joule ruined my pregnancy announcement surprise to my mom and they gave my car keys to another hotel guest, leaving me without a car for several hours. Neither the GM or the valet manager have called to apologize or make it right and it’s been over a week.
I called the spa to tell them I needed to change my appt to a maternity massage and to please not put it on the confirmation because I hadn’t told my sister in law or mom yet (who were going with me to the spa). They put it on the confirmation and also announced it as we checked in. The maternity massage was a glorified rub down, not worth the money at all. The lounge area for the spa is small. The amenities were nice but basically if more than 4 people are waiting for a service it’s packed in that tiny room. After my massage I went to retrieve my car from valet. They were taking forever and started to huddle with what seemed like the head guy. I went over and asked if there was a problem. The genius had given my key to another hotel guest who had already left and wouldn’t be back for several hours. The guy had pulled into the valet after me and the valet attendant just “added my key” to his keychain “because y’all both had Tahoes”……cause that makes a lot of sense… They offered to drive me back to my house in the hotel car and that’s the best they did. We had to tell them that they needed to call the guest and go get my key and deliver my car to my house. The whole process took hours, I had to cancel on a dinner with friends because of the whole situation and it ruined the whole “relaxing” day. They wouldn’t give me the manager’s phone number, my husband emailed and called and they never got back to us.

My husband booked couples massages and facials for my birthday. Upon arriving, the front desk could only find one facial reservation and she blamed it on the fact that they're training a bunch of new people so there was
"probably miscommunication". I didn't feel comfortable receiving the facial while my husband was just going to wait so we asked to cancel mine and was told we would be charged 100% of the service...FOR THEIR MISTAKE. I was literally crying in the reception area and received no sympathy or solutions. I was forced to get the facial or waste money. The most underwhelming facial at that!
Literally washed my face and applied serums..,skip this service because you can do it at home. I recommend going to a medspa where they actually care to make a difference in your skin. The customer service made me feel unimportant and ruined what was supposed to be a nice relaxing day with my husband that he worked so hard to surprise me with for my birthday. I've never been treated so unprofessionally. I was told there was no manager on site to speak to and that the soonest a manager would be back would be when my facial was over and the damage was done at that point. For such a high end spa, the customer service and staff is that of a low level. I've wanted to come here for so long and words can't describe how disappointed I am. I will never forget this negative birthday experience. Breaks my heart.

We also stayed in the hotel since our spa treatment was at 8am. Everyone was so very nice, inviting & the service was top notch.

My partner and I were doing a staycation at the Joule. She booked two spa services and we planned to meet and enjoy the spa pool together between her treatments.
I went to meet her and was told by the spa attendant that since I had not booked services myself, I could not meet my partner at the pool. Didn't matter that we were hotel guests and spent nearly $1,000 in the spa. Absolutely ridiculous. We will not be back.

Beautiful surroundings and top not massage Therapist. The spa is located on the main level of the hotel. Beautiful check in area and the women’s locker room is nice and relaxing . There is a steam room and sauna, and common pool. The massage was fantastic and treatment room was beautiful ❤️Can’t wait to go back

Welcome to the best spa in all of Dallas, if not the entire country. Seriously.. I’m not kidding. I’m a Dallas local, so I frequent this spa at least 3-4 times a year. It is located in the beautiful Joule hotel and is paradise from the time you walk into the lobby. The products are the creme de la creme. From biologique recherche to codage to environ, they always have the best brands and selection available. A huge perk is the free delivery, as well.
Now onto the services.. I, personally prefer facials but I’ve also received massages here numerous times and have extremely enjoyed them. My aesthetician I see every few months is the famous and talented Lory. She is AMAZING. I have seen such serious results with my skin and I owe it all to her. I used to have dry, boring, blah skin and now I get compliments on a weekly basis regarding my glowing, clear skin. People always assume it’s genetics but I can promise you it is not. I grew up in sunny Palm Springs and did not use the important sun protection I should have and as a result have more wrinkles than a normal gal in her 20’s should have. That has all changed since I’ve seen Lory and I feel and look like my skin is five years younger!
I recommend this spa to all my friends and hope you give it a try. You won’t regret it!! The two glasses of champagne, the calming steam room, and tranquility pool are all pluses. I also recommend making an experience out of it and ordering lunch by the pool after your service. Don’t forget your bathing suit!

I went to the spa for a birthday treatment and the experience is amazing! The atmosphere was tranquil and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. I recommend coming an hour before service to spend time in the steam room and vitality pool with 2 complimentary drinks. It was so relaxing and I felt like royalty. My therapist, Karen met me on time for my service and she was amazing as well. The treatment I received was body brushing, a body scrub followed by a hot stone massage. Karen did a great job I would definitely recommend her. I would also recommend Krista for a facial. I've known her prior to working at the Joule and my skin is healthy because of her. After my treatments I spent 30 minutes in the dry room which was cozy and relaxing. The staff was helpful as well, I was checked on periodically and asked if I needed anything, from towels, picture taking and refreshments. I will definitely be going back, this is the best spa I've been to.
