The facility is ok, but the range staff are the worst. Scary lack of firearms knowledge and about the worst customer service mindset I’ve seen. It’s like they are irritated that you are even there. Employees in the store area seem better.

Cannot thank these guys enough. I am a British veteran and previously worked for EDS so have been to the range a few times. Brought my family across for a Texas road trip and wanted the kids to experience what they cannot in the UK. Ronnie was awesome teaching them safety on pistol and AR, knows his stuff and simplifies it to put the youngsters at ease. Awesome guys and thank you

It’s not my first time here, but definitely my last. I called ahead to check foot traffic, and 20 bays were open. Great right? While shooting, we were the only ones I noticed asked to leave because of a long wait line, but I get it. However, a friend showed up and told the attendant he was joining our bay 3 minutes before we were asked to leave, and we were forced to pay for a shooter that didn’t even get to setup. They didn’t say anything to him about the time constraint beforehand, or even allow him to get in a few rounds. The attendant didn’t even attempt to solve our frustrations about it. Then again, it’s probably because they think we’re Chinese, which is not an excuse.

Our family is from a state which does not allow full auto.
We were passing through so wanted to give it a try.

Where do I start? I will start by saying that Frisco Gun Club has a great business plan incorporating Groupon to maximize volume in their classes so they can sell their true products: the insurance and their over-priced food. Clearly the LTC is secondary in this business model and is a formality to sell the aforementioned. Quite frankly the "instruction" and "training" received was laughable and brutal to sit through. I will give John credit for being a good salesman but an instructor he is not. John read the entire PP, managed time poorly from the beginning and did not control the classroom. There were several and I mean several people ask questions that John could have answered during a break as the question did not enlighten the class. From the very beginning there was a laissez faire attitude about this class and it was poorly managed as we were herded into the course of fire without a single weapons handling safety rule covered. The only thing covered in regards to safety was not to turn around with your weapon in your hand at the range and to wear your eyes and ears. This is on top of the fact that we started at the range late because people kept shuttling in well past 0700. (so much for the 0645 appointment) The range qualification was also mismanaged as during the course of fire it seemed as though people had an indefinite amount of time to shoot. The states time requirement was not followed and the laissez faire attitude continued on the range. Also during the course of fire there were three different sets of commands being shouted by John and two other "trainers" which led to confusion with some individuals. This is very unsafe for a large group people who are not familiar with weapons. It is only a matter of time before someone gets hurt and yes Frisco Gun Club can be held liable because we did not sign the release of liability form until after we shot the course of fire. We did get the firearms safety spiel one hour before class ended, a tad bit late wouldn't you say? I highly recommend that John and all "instructors" actually learn the gun laws of other states before they spout their ignorance about such laws. It will go a long way as being from one of the states that he bashed and knowing those laws I could not take him seriously and it makes me question the rest of Frisco Gun Club's other personnel. Example: John talked about how much gun freedom we have in Texas. This is comical and ironic as we sat in a class that requires Texans to obtain a license before they can carry a gun; thus making Texas just like the states that John bashed. Even the state of VT has constitutional carry which means they do not have to sit through a class and pay money to carry their inalienable 2A right. He bashed NC and the carry laws there yet there are more gun carry freedoms in NC than in Texas. I know because I lived there for over a decade. The ignorance continued when he clearly stated how he is anti-open carry and gave us his personal bias opinion that had no credibility. Again this is where the "instructors" would benefit from a bit of education regarding open carry. You do not see people losing their guns or being shot by bad guys everyday due to open carry!! If this was the case the media would be all over it because they are looking for anything that would make guns look bad. I cannot in good conscience recommend Frisco Gun Club to anyone for LTC, gun sales and especially not food.

Took my son here yesterday for his Birthday. He was able to shoot on the range and we had an amazing dinner. The food was very good and price good for what you get. The waitress was very personable and a great asset. Actually everyone at this establishment was helpful and friendly.

I brought my 70 year old mother here for Mother's Day. They had a special where mom got to shoot on the range for free! Very cool.
My mom had never shot before, and they were very helpful, and helped her feel confident shooting for the first time.

More of a country club than a gun club. Great location to spend an afternoon. Open to the public for a fee. Good restaurant and bar inside.

If you call ahead you can get a reservation easy peasy. They need 2 hours notice and the License to carry course there is great. They also have a great deli if you get hungry.
