This 1939 Post Office, directly across from the County Courthouse on the square, is a perfect compliment to the County Courthouse of the same era. The "Oil Fields of Graham" by Alexandre Hogue is restored and in good condition. According to Philip Parisi's "The Texas Post Office Murals", Hogue completed the mural in the study of his friend (and fellow mural artist) Jerry Bywaters. In the 1980's the U.S. Post Office sold the building to the City of Graham, which now uses it as a historical museum. Well worth a visit.

Go during one of their exhibits, which change often. Don't expect a history museum, though they do have some things on display - this is primarily an art museum

What an excellent little musuem with artist showings to add an extra appeal with the other musuem items on display. This is a must see when in town! Great Currator and staff!

Mat and Bertha did an excellent job of sharing history with our family. Enjoyed it so very much. Great place to visit and worth it. Wasn't expecting much and was surprised at the finds. If you are in Graham, TX you should add it to your must do list.

Great local gem. Rotating exhibits, as well as lots of local history and photographs. Very nice and clean facility. If you are interested in the history of the local area this place is a must see.

This is a nice little museum located on the square in Graham. It has a nice collection of antiques and artifacts from the early days of Young County. There is also a whole wall full of old black and white pictures of downtown Graham, as well as other surrounding communities in the Young County Area. Since it is free admission, you have to at least take a look. The are also restrooms located inside the museum. The only negative I have was, I wish they had a few more things to look at. I was told they change out what is on display on a regular basis.

The museum is immaculate, including restrooms. The exhibit changes regularly to include High School budding artists. It's free to the public, I leave a $20. donation when I go.

I had never entered this facility before, but this Christmas Season, my mother and I had the opportunity to attend a concert of the Senior Singers of the First Baptist Church of Graham.
Because the event was held during the now famous Graham Christmas parade, the roads into the museum parking lot were blocked and controlled by the local authorities, so in an attempt to make our navigation simpler we asked permission that we might pass through the block-aide and park in the very back of the museum. This meant we were then to park in the rear of the museum and enter a freight ramp at the back. We were then allowed to enter the back door and make my mother's traverse with a walker better. It was our gain to enter the rear as the back side of the museum as it is there decorated quite respectively. Actually a photo opportunity, photographers might be well advised to use this platform for a great setting or background.
Inside there were multiple displays and also quite an array of both historical and very modern pieces of art.
The concert was very good, and it was also a farewell of sorts to our music director, the honorable Jerry Blake, who shortly after the holiday made his farewell to our congregation after almost 25 years in dutiful and artful service to Our Lord Jesus Christ and the body of believers in Graham, Texas.
This made an impression on us and we found the staff and facility delightful.
Even the water closet held a small comical treasure, a comical sign that stated something like this, ""Gentlemen, we aim to keep the toilet clean and tidy, please aim to assist us with your accurate aim." or words to that effect.
Funny and kind of silly.
