Definitely our favorite place in Granbury to go and enjoy wine and laid back atmosphere. The owners are wonderful with fun stories to listen to and they make you feel like family every trip there.The Covid-19 mess has kept us away for an extended period. We plan on returning again tomorrow.
Unfortunately, we finished our last bottle of wine last week from our Barking Rocks inventory and must restock. Time to start returning to normal life in Granbury. It looks like tomorrow will be a beautiful day to sit outside enjoying great wine with family and friends after an early morning ski run up river.

We went here as art of the Way Out Wines Holiday Tour. Very rustic feel - loved the decor. The owner was most hospitable , wines very good. A great find in this neck of the woods

We traveled with a large group for a long weekend gathering in Granbury. In researching outings to schedule we booked a private wine tasting for our group. They were easy to work with and are dog friendly! We did a tasting of 5 wines and also had some cheese and crackers added for our group. It was interesting learning about the history of the winery and the wines themselves. A wonderful way to spend the afternoon with friends.

Barking Rocks combines great wine and Texas hospitality! We did a tasting and then got a glass! We had such a good time speaking with the staff, the owner and his wife. We were made to feel like the neighbors next door. I highly recommend this winery.

My sisters and I took my mom to a wine tasting at this lovely little winery and had a wonderful time! The owners were so friendly we felt we had known them already. The wine was also wonderful, with the Malbec being my personal favorite. Being small, they are not always open for tastings so be sure to call ahead. This was our favorite winery in the Granbury area!

Very relaxing and chill. Great wine and brick oven pizza. Ambiance was awesome and the staff and owner was great to talk to. A must see when coming to Granbury.

New to Texas since August, heard they did first Friday get together.... Great atmosphere to have a glass of wine.... Well never open is what I've found out. Tried the wine at the Granbury wine Walk..... And yeah..... Very disappointing! My homemade wine is probably better, which sucks!

It's easy to miss (as we did) the small Andrews Court road turn-off, on the right on 402 just before N Lipan drive light. There's a lil small blue rectangular sign that's easy to miss too. So down a country lane we turned into the rustic lil winery which is very pleasant on the eyes setting-up foran ambient and serene location to relax in and taste some good wines. A small parking lot is off to the right of the building.
We were greeted by a very personable chap Tiberia and his partner of life Sissy and a sommelier on the premises - which we thought was a great idea! The cost for ~6 wine tastings was seven bucks /person. There's seating inside and outside with a few 'couples' tables around with the scenic view of an arbor covered walkway to the cistern, windmill and fields beyond; although we didn't see the vineyards nearby.
So to my disappointment onto the wine tasting itself. Tiberia was busy with friends at one table so we didn't get to enjoy his knowledge of the wines. The wines were poured out serially with skimpy proportions... I mean a splash was it - it could have evaporated in the heat of the sun if this was actually summer. No water was provided to drink nor to rinse the glass of the previous wine. We were not impressed with their wines at all, although with a splash sample I'm not sure we could have been able to discern the good from the bad. More so to the sommelier, who we would have hoped & expected to have been more forthcoming about the wine characteristics rather than just stating the name, pouring the splash and then hastily moving onto the next table. If you have a sommelier(which seems like an investment) then they should be more focused on sharing their knowledge of the wines and not simply be a server - take the time with your potential customers, find out what they like.
Feedback since I've reviewed +5 Texas vineyard wine tastings, so two things generally that make a good wine tasting great and endear yourself with your customers so they'll want to come back: 1. Customer service - friendliness while imparting knowledge, and 2. ample serving size so that people can actually taste, sip and enjoy the wine!!

We enjoyed an afternoon and a bottle of wine here. It was frigid cold outside so we sat inside. The owner came over and visited with us and gave us a tour. Great little place and nice people. The wine was fantastic. Highly recommend this place.
