We were by ourselves downstairs so it was a lovely and private experience, Poppy was really nice and helpful. We can’t wait to go and pick up our stuff!

Wasn't sure about this but, went along to support a friend with autism who'd organised it. Well, pleasantly surprised.
We were a group of 8 - pre booked - and in a little room all by ourselves which was nice. Clear instructions on how it all worked from a friendly member of Firefly, and off we went, with creative juices flowing, after choosing the items we wanted to paint.
Lots of chatter, support for ideas and encouragement for each other's designs - non of us would say we were talented artists but prepared to give it a go!
It seems expensive when it costs £6 for a plain tile but, you need to factor in the use of the paint and then the firing process so not bad, really.
You can get drinks and slices of cake to keep energy levels up which is a nice, simple touch.
A week later and you collect your masterpiece! And they look so different after going through the firing process. Was pleasantly surprised at how nice our items looked :)
Only negative is: they need to wipe down the furniture and counter tops as they are covered in dust so, don't wear anything posh and bring a pinny if you want to cover up.
Enjoyed it so much, I've booked an evening session in a couple of months time for the group again - have even researched design ideas, although I won't be giving up my day job to become an artist!

Had an amazing morning here! We booked the pottery for three people as a surprise for my friends birthday, who has always been interested in pottery. Finding a class for three people found to be quite difficult as most were only for two or big groups so this was perfect and very accommodating. The lady doing the pottery came in just for us and made us all feel very warm and confident her encouraging words helped loads as we were first timers. all our pots turned out perfectly imperfect and we cant wait to get them in the fire and get them painted in a couple weeks such a perfect day followed by a lovely walk and lunch in this lovely Yorkshire village!

From the start over the Christmas period all e mails answered quickly and Vicky open the shop for us specially. We had contacted several other pottery company`s locally Firefly were the only ones that answered, assuming others were just too busy.
Great help advice and service, ready for Wednesday which it was.
All staff friendly and interested on what we were doing.

Had a surprise session booked here on Sunday morning. Never 'thrown' before and it was a delightful introduction (even with a slight hangover). Thought I was just going to walk away with the experience but the tutorial was one to one so in a few weeks I'll be going to collect my piece of work! Now then....wonder who'll be getting that for Christmas!

Went with my daughter in law and grandchildren for the first time. It was a great experience. The baby had his hands and footprints done in clay and as he's 8 months he really enjoyed that. The seven year old painted a money box and as he's never done anything like that before he got right into it and was very proud of his finished product. There's tea and cake if you fancy it. The staff are all lovey and took photos on my phone so we could join in. They also do adult nights where you can bring wine and order pizza which I'm definitely going to go back and do at some point. They sell gift vouchers and I think it's a great idea for a present.

If I could spend an afternoon every week here I would. It's so relaxed and a great environment to get creative. It's great for all occasions and ages, I've come with friends, with my partner and I regularly come with a young man with autism, they are really accommodating for him and normally let us sit at a quiet table. We used to sit at the back until we found he loves sitting at the front and saying hi to everyone who walks in the door, they also don't mind that he makes a bit of a mess. Really love it here and would recommend if you're looking for an hour or two to spend doing something fun!

To celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary we decided to make a pot instead of simply buying one. The experience we had at Firefly was incredible, fun, enjoyable, relaxing and rewarding.
We were quite nervous before going because neither of us are built for art and craft, but Vicky looked after us from the moment we got there and the end result....a great anniversary with a difference and a bowl and a mug that would not look out of place at Harrods!!!
It is messy, but controlled mess and we were well covered. It is very intense, you need to focus on what you are doing, but for the hour we were there, we didn't think about anything else and there is a lot to be said for that.
Staff are fantastic, setting perfect and great value for money. We will go back....we have to, we want to paint our efforts now and then only 8 more place settings to make.

Visited with a 2 year old. She loved it. We painted a dog and got very messy, but the staff were great and didn't mind. My niece loved it and had a great time. Would highly recommend it for some good family fun. I'm a bit gutted I didn't do my own piece to paint actually!!

Lots of choice of things to paint, or you can play with clay. Really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Clay courses are great, as are the wheel sessions
