I went a day when it was not so crowded got a all rides pass but Most of the rides were closed. Did not get to do much . The food had way too much salt but the icecream and slushie was magnificent really cooled you down on a hot day

This area reminds me of a place where wealthy people go to relax and tell their children to go out and do something fun. But the kids arrive back a few hours later to their air b & b saying, "There's nothing to do here, dad. Can we drive into Houston?" Not very many rides. They need to expand on this. Not very many water activities. They need to expand on this. However, there are plenty of places to eat.--Also, the ferris wheel has never been a real ferris wheel, has it? It seems to be just an emblem for the area.--However, the roller coaster is awesome and the quote of Mark Twain that is near the coaster shows that life today really, really, isn't much different than at anytime in the past. So, I liked seeing that painted on the wall as decoration. Overall, a pretty average place.

We had a blast at the boardwalk. We stayed about 3 hours, and I think we rode every ride at least twice. The Boardwalk Bullet is a very good coaster. We liked taking the train around and seeing all the restaurants. I would definitely come back here. There was some minor hurricane damage that they were already fixing.

We loved the Beast and walking the boardwalk. We didn't ride the rides or get to be there as long as we liked. Next time, we will venture further.

A good family get away spot! The entry is free and you need to buy tickets only if you plan to enjoy the rides. A very good spot with lots of restaurants and other means to spend time. Can easily spend a whole day with family.

It was fun! A small number of rides, some for older kids and some kiddie rides. Small enough for the kids to take off on their own. Very clean and friendly staff with enthusiastic attitude. Good for a fun half day.

I went to Texas for my first time for memorial Day weekend. I was actually going to a boat ride which was at the same location at this place. But I did go here a day before just to enjoy the rides and have a good time. Luckily at the time that I went which was pretty early like around noon the lines were really short everything went pretty quickly the all day pass was about $22 plus tax so I think everything amounted to about $31. Which isn't bad to go on everything I'm not really a roller coaster person so I didn't do that at all I think the other roller coaster was out of commission it looked like it was being fixed. I didn't really eat anything out here because I don't eat out like that since I have food allergies. I was able to bring my juice and my water so they do not check bags which makes it easy if you have food or anything else that you want to bring as long as it's not anything too large I think you should be okay. I really enjoyed the train and the slow ride that allows you to see the entire boardwalk. The only thing that I didn't like about the carousel was that I wasn't able to go on because I was by myself.. but everything else is pretty cool I feel like once you get through the rides it's not much to do I didn't do the speedboat or the zipline since I didn't feel like getting wet and I also had my pocketbook and didn't think that would be a good idea for the zip lines and it does say if anything gets stolen that's not on them so I didn't want to even deal with that plus it's not included with the all day pass. All in a ll a nice time.

Kemah Boardwalk is exactly what you would expect when you picture a boardwalk: A collection of carnival rides, amusement park food and chain restaurants with a view of Galveston Bay.
Pros: As opposed to Galveston Pleasure Pier, Kemah Boardwalk does not charge admission. The area is beautifully laid out and very clean. Rides looked well maintained and the kids' rides had some interesting fun details, like the indoor western town on the train. Plenty of benches along the water. This would be a fun place to take kids and teenagers. There is a large speedboat ride called the Boardwalk Beast, which costs a separate fee but was very fun, especially if you have never experienced a speed boat ride. You will get wet!
Cons: Parking and restrooms !!!! As you arrive, there is a traffic bottleneck as you enter the area from the highway. We were directed into a lot, just following a long row of cars and as we entered the lot, the attendant informed us that their was a flat daily rate. We were only planning to stay for an hour, but couldn't back out at that point, with other cars right behind us. The rate was also considerably higher than what I saw when looking online (maybe because it was the weekend?) Payment could only be done on the phone, with more fees added and I saw several visitors staring at their phone in front of the signs, confused about the procedure. I think it's a fair price if you stay all day, but wish there was hourly rate parking available for those who don't. Naturally park food and rides are not cheap, but well in line with other amusement parks and tourist spots, so that was expected. The boardwalk needs MORE bathrooms. Outside of restrooms we only found one small bathroom underneath the shopping area, with long lines on a cool spring day.

Lots of fun to be had with rides, restaurants, boat tours and souvenirs as well. The lot we chose when driving in had free parking as well. We took a boat tour that left from the pier on a speed boat that was fun as well. All in all a good way to spend an afternoon.

If someone made reservations at the Boardwalk Hotel but is unable to gain access to the hotel due to a broken elevator and the one who made the reservation is disabled or has a medical condition that makes using the stairs impossible, can they get a refund? The Boardwalk Management will not listen and does not care and it looks like there is nobody working to fix the elevator that is down?

Hi , I didn’t go on the rides either as I get vertigo! But my husband and daughter did. I would say the rides were a standard size like any other ride in a fairground
