Great Park, but loved to death

Nice trails and neat tower with a nice view. Hard to believe this natural-ish setting is in the middle of suburbia. If you go, be prepared for mud after it rains. Even if you stay on the sidewalk, many others use the sidewalk to leave clumps of mud everywhere as they wipe off their shoes. Also, LOTS of dog poop on the sidewalks.

Nature trail

Went there on a sunny summer afternoon. Loved the nature, better than breathing artificial air in the malls and restaurants.
I would have loved bike around there. But no rental bikes available there … so a bit disappointed.

Great nature trail to walk in the middle of the city! Beautiful, quiet and periodic wildlife sightings. I once saw a bobcat while on a run here!

A great place for a fall walk and some shinrin-yoku (the Japanese concept of forest bathing, simply being out in the woods or out in nature). Beautiful spot with some great walks.

Nice place to walk and awake your senses. A little bit crowded but still beautiful. Buy your tickets in advance, Choose gate 1 wether you're not going with children, choose gate 4 for children =entrance to the children garden is not included, its an additional cost=

Out in Nature

Great escape from being on lock down at home. Plenty of parking and outdoors to explore. There are paved trails as well as marked trails to get a closer look at nature. Great place to take in the beauty that is all around us.

Not bad!

I didn't know there was a place to hike or take a nature walk in Dallas! I'm used to doing this while I'm traveling and because of COVID-19, I'm not traveling. Which means I'm unable to do outdoor activities. This was a nice place to go as a substitute. However, the trails are a little bit confusing because one trail leads to another trail.

I'm pretty sure all the trails in the woods led to the pavement. Because every time we kept trying to get back into the woods, we ended up at the pavement. Regardless, there's no way to get lost, because it all circles back to the parking lot.

City Oasis during the pandemic

This is a great place to walk in the city and still see green space. I enjoy it because not only is there a great network of paved walkways, but a large number of dirt walks and trails where you can get away from the crowds that can form on a pretty day. If you plan to "off-road", I'd suggest long pants, since there is poison ivy around, as well as scratchy plants and mosquitos. During this pandemic time, bring water. The fountains and retrooms are closed, as well as the playgroud, but the trails are open. it is easy to keep social distancing guidelines if you get off the concrete walks. Enjoy and stay safe!
