There are not the proper words for me to express my gratitude to Cozumel Dive Academy and all the wonderful staff that work there. They took such good care of us and we had so much fun. They went above and beyond. We had a new diver with us. She will dive again because of Phillip and Joe. She loved it. I will go back because they were so caring, patient, and fun. The perfect combination of seriousness for safety and fun lifetime experiences. The icing on the cake: my 20 year old son liked them so much he stayed to work on a Divemaster training with Phillip Hetherington, Joseph, and their crew. They are the best - heck I left my kid with them cant get a higher recommendation than that.
Awesome attentive staff, very professional and a five-star safety record which was very important to me. They have fantastic online training as well and everything from beginner through to divemaster covered. There's a gorgeous house to stay in with a swimming pool, huge kitchen so you don't have to eat out all the time and a great BBQ area under the palapa on the third level. Well worth staying and doing an internship. The location is amazing right on the beach. The shop has loads of cool stuff and everything dive related you could possibly want. I highly recommend the dives, training and accommodation.

I decided to do the first two parts of my open water certification with Sugar Land Dive Center. Peter was my instructor, and he was awesome! Because of him, I felt 100% prepared for my open water dives, and did a great job reviewing all the theory throughout the confined dives. He did it in such a way that I retained all the information easily, and I would recommend him to anyone!

My friend and I got part of our PADI certification here and part of it in Cozumel that Phil from SLDC scheduled for us. Their trips are all reasonably priced and I could not have asked for a better group to learn from. Our dive instructor was Rob Rector and we loved him. He's been all over the world and had great stories to incorporate into our lessons. While we learned under him, we felt like we got to know various other members of the staff and they were all encouraging and fun to be around. My son received his open water dive certification with Ross and I was very impressed! Ross was patient and a great dive master! I would recommend Sugar Land Dive to anyone who needs to get certified.

Great place to learn to Scuba Dive. My son learn how to dive here and I took First Responder training here. A lot of Boy Scout troops use them and they host a Boy Scout Scuba venturing crew. They also offer diving excursions.
