I visited the museum because I wanted to see the Columbian Mammoth exhibit I had read about. But this musuem is more of a playpen for children. This can be fine but the museum needs to be advertised in this way. There was little to nothing for adults to view/read and instead was focused on play areas and eating areas for young children. I was very disappointed especially after paying a $10 entry fee and having a very difficult time finding parking. I expected more from Baylor University.

This is an OK museum-- some nice artifacts and imaginative displays but very geared towards kids. Best part is that it was open on Monday when most area attractions were not open. I may have skipped it if I had realized the limitations. Admission in $10 for adults, free parking.

This museum is located on the Baylor University campus and is easy to find and park. They have a large variety of artifacts and exhibits that have something for everyone. The gift shop is well stocked and has a large number of fun educational items for purchase.

Fun place with natural history and hands on science for kids. There are a lot of fossils exhibits and history of evolution. Things to see and do for all ages. Presentation is excellent. Great museum for family to visit. Plan to spend at least 1 hour here.

My family and I are all adults, but I would hands down come here to be a kid again lol. This place is perfect for learning about history, perfect for kids, and if you're a college student taking Organic Evolution, take some time to visit this place. There are a lot of facts about fossils and evolution to help explain.

Something for everyone. Great for homeschool groups. The 1st floor has Natural History and the 2nd floor is hands on science for kids. Several tables and chairs for moms to rest and take care of their kids.

Our first trip to Mayborn Museum was on Labor Day, 9.6.21. It was an awesome experience with great, high-quality exhibits and helpful, friendly staff. We bought the family membership and will definitely be back. Our kids loved the exhibits on the 2nd floor, especially the bubble room.
Nuestro primer viaje al Museo Mayborn era el Día de Labor el día 6 de septiembre 2021. Era una experience maravillosa con buenas exhibiciones y los empleados eran amables y ayudaron mucho. Compramos la miembresia de familia y definativamente vamos a regresar. A nuestros hijos les entanto el segundo piso, especialmente el cuarto de burbujas.

My kids have been to the Mayborn many times and have adored it every time. There are spaces for the very small ones to enjoy and also interesting things for the older kids/adults. And there's usually a great temporary exhibit. The people are nice, and the gift shop is good, too.

Really great Natural History museum. Exhibits cover lots about TX history, habitat and wildlife and it aesthetically great for younger kids who can't read signs yet. Lots of stuffed wildlife and fossils. During summer go early and head outside first to see the old times village. The museum website said all over the age of 2 who are not vaccinated should be masked, however, this was not enforced. Our kids age 2 and 4 never had to put masks on. They do have the "play Waco" area closed due to COVID however the thinkers exhibits on the 2nd floor were extremely high touch and should have posed just as much of a risk. I wish there had been a discount ticket for the younger patrons or at least a credit towards a future visit. The visiting dinosaur exhibit had a few things the littles enjoyed, but most was way over their heads. We went specifically for this exhibit since we had a young dinosaur enthusiast, but it just wasn't geared towards her age group. There are a few computer type games in exhibits where you get the secret letters to form a word and then go to the gift shop for a prize. The prize was a long multicolored glow stick necklace and the 4 year old loved helping solve the "mystery" as she called it, although she was only an assistant for the games which are better for older kids. The 2nd floor only had a couple things our littles enjoyed, most were for bigger kids. Also the space x exhibit was lame, no interactive stuff for young kids just a video of the spaceship.

I want to take my mother to the Titanic Exhibit. She uses a walker/wheelchair and moves rather slowly. Is this going to be a problem for getting through without annoying others? Is their handicap parking in the museum parking lot?

You should not have any issues with getting your mother around. Yes their is handicap parking available.

I never understand why people would answer if they don't have an answer. Just thought I'd ask, they were closed when I called and the website has nothing about separate prices.

It will cost about 6.00 for adults and 4.00 for children 18 months to 12, and 5.00 for seniors (65+). And this is for general admission. For special exhibits it is 10.00 for adults and 5.00 for children and 9.00 for seniors. Hours: Mon-Wed 10am to 5pm,Thur 10am to 8pm, Fri to Sat 10am to 5pm and Sun 1pm to5pm. Hope this helps.
