Yes, the cheese is excellent (and pricey as you'd expect). But we were robbed of ONE POUND OF CHEESE that we paid for.
On our last trip here we spent time to purchase 5 items that we paid for. (I have the receipt). When we got home we found ONE POUND OF CHEESE was not in our brown paper bag despite our having paid almost $30 for it--it was MISSING.
We were stiffed. No one tried to call us to say it was an accident--and when we called the store a few hours after leaving to ask they make good by sending us our cheese-- we were told by a female voice that (suddenly, magically) the cheese was no longer available. Odd, given they'd had a huge round.
Yes they offered a refund (that we're still awaiting from our credit card company).
But given that they had our 5 cheeses at the register and we paid for 5 only to get 4--I have to wonder if our cheese--in NYC vernacular fell off the truck and someone else took it home. The aprons had pockets.
I will never go to this sketchy store again. They overcharge customers, and then won't make good by SENDING the product to the customer.

Every Grafton product is available here, which is great.
There are also dozens of other cheeses here for the tasting, served courtesy of a very knowledgeable staff.

Various items inside the little red building. Different varieties from maple syrup, cheeses (especially for sampling) before buying, candies, etc. Such a wonderful place. My husband and I would definitely go back. We tried and bought a cheddar blend and a provolone blend...wow, what types of cheeses they have.

We stopped in later in the day after being in the river on a very hot day!. Felt out of place only for a short minute. The staff was very pleasant and informative with the cheeses!!
So many things to Sample. The smoked Gouda is to die for!!! The gourmet Mustard, Maple pepper / Garlic powder and the Cheese sampler pack are Phenomenal!!! So many choices!! Could easily spend 1 hr or so in here!!
If your looking for fine cheeses and numerous maple items, this place should not be missed!

I mean, what can I say? Cheese, wine, beer, and other local products. Free samples. We easily spent over $100 here and I do not regret it!! A great place to grab a gift or something to remember VT.

. . .and lots of goodies to create a unique spread. The staff was friendly. They offered generous samples to our whole family and had wonderful advice about what to eat now and what could travel home in the cooler. I loved it!

great selection of Vermont goodness -- great cheeses, locally made chocolates, syrups, etc. Great find on baskets, as well.

Cheese, Cheese, and more Cheese. A great place to visit to sample the mang varieties of cheese. The cheddars are particularly tasty. Hard to stop here and not make a purchase. Staff is very friendly and helpful which contributes to a great visit.

This stop was not what we expected. The website states we can watch cheese being made (not happening) and makes the place sound grander than it is. The website made it sound like we could sample a variety of cheeses. Well, we could but there was only one person manning the cheese area and you had to ask for a sample of what you wanted. No instructions as to how to get in line or how it works. The store was busy which prevented us from asking any questions of the staff. Sadly, I had planned to sample a variety of cheeses with my family and makes some purchases. We left without purchasing anything. I t's more of a lovely shop packed with lots of cheese and Vermont items.

This was a repeat visit, due to an amazing visit in March. We purchased cheese, dog treats, wine, beer, chocolate and gifts
After trying the cheese, we couldn’t wait to return to put more. It was a sheep/cow cheese…Shepsog. They mostly specialize in cheese and are currently doing tastings for cheese. Friendly staff, fun place.
