Stopped here on a whim to on the way to the next destination. The winery was closing in about 10-15 minutes from when we arrived, but the women let us come in for some tasting. Very good winery, friendly staff. Ended up leaving with several bottles of wine and some spirits.

My husband and I had samples while exploring the Quechee Gorge Village. After tasting several of the spirits I purchased the sampler package. I was especially impressed with the Simply Honey and the Simply Ginger.

We loved Putney! The wines and liqueurs were delicious and there is something for everyone. Kim was kind and welcoming and we were pleasantly surprised to hear that you can try both the wines and liqueurs in one tasting! Kim even made us a little sample that tasted like a chocolate cherry and we have had it for the last few nights - delicious!!!

We had a good time with the hostess who described the wines and spirits and were really surprised by the delicious and not sweet fruit wines. The spirits are super--my first cassis since Dijon, France, so fresh and so berry * : )
I also bought two beautiful maple cutting boards by Smead of Putney. They'll be a practical lifetime souvenir.

First - really excellent wines and spirits. We love them all.
Nice tasting room, very helpful and friendly staff and we were able to taste everything they made for $5 each! Amazing value.
We bought 6 bottles and can’t wait to see them again!

I’m not a fruit wine or sweet wine person.
However - every wine we tasted here - and that was every wine they made lol - were all high quality and delicious.

We sampled all of the fruit wines and the liqueurs. Our favorites were the simply ginger liqueur and the Vermont cassis liqueur and we purchased a bottle of each. Our server was very friendly and made the tasting experience enjoyable. If there was more than 1 table with seating (which was occupied), we would have stayed longer to enjoy a glass of wine or cocktail but standing around a high top sipping wine or a drink didn't appeal to us.

They have great sulfate free fruit wines. Due to COVID, the tasting was in the parking lot, but it was still fun. We got pear wine and it was delicious!!

We stopped by their location at the antique mall in Quechee. There was a sandwich board outside offering tastings but when we got inside the only way you could taste it was to buy sample sizes. We bought 4 different ones which cost $20.00. We were given a coupon that was good for 10% off a full size bottle if you liked it and wanted to go back. We did like a couple of them but not enough to justify the cost even with the 10% off.

Traveling through Vermont on a Sunday we saw a sign for Putney winery and stopped in. We were the only ones there but realized the experience was a little different and would need to happen outside due to Covid restrictions. For a $3 fee we could taste 6 wines and the fee was waived with a purchase. Charles loaded his hand truck with the bottles and we proceeded outside to a barrel which served as our table. We tasted 6 and purchased a bottle of cranberry wine and a bottle of Apple maple wine. I must say it was fun and Charles indoor room will be worth a future visit after Covid passes. Sweet and fruity and easy to drink!
