We saw the Secret Stash concert at Spruce Peak. What a great place! A smaller venue, every single seat is good. The acoustics are great. The staff is friendly and efficient. We drove up from MA just for the concert, and I’d do it again! Parking was good. There were plenty of local hotels. The bar is good, and there were lots of great restaurants nearby.

My wife bought us tickets to see a full orchestra performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony with Chorale. Wow was I impressed! It has great acoustics yet it is small and very comfortable. My first impression is that it was very recently built but apparently that is not the case. I will be checking every kind of performance at this location, going forward. The staff was very welcoming and there is hardly a crowd so seating is not an issue. Plenty of parking and the place is beautiful.

We happened to be in town at the same time as a band that we have wanted to see. The SP Performing Arts Center focus on a WIDE range of music styles, so one would need to check their calendar. Do not assume there will be a "rock concert' or whatever, just when you happen to be in town. Still, there are no bad seats, it has a certain 'formality" but is still relaxed and fun, offers drinks at reasonable prices (and one can drink in the auditorium) - perfect when listening to an Irish Band!) We enjoyed the experience just as we were surprised as how mice the venue is.

great location and beautiful venue. We were there to see John Pizzarelli perform. It was a marvelous performance but it is Spruce Peak that I write about. Very comfortable, great acoustics, not a bad seat in the whole house. Go see a show there you will love it.

Wow, just went to see Bruce Cockburn at the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center. This is a fabulous venue. It is small, intimate with great sight lines and outstanding acoustics. The staff are mostly local volunteers who are very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking very close to the front door so short walks are easily had. They offer a bar in the lobby and you can take the drinks to your seat for the performance. If you find a show, act or performer you like that is appearing here, I couldn't think of a better place to see it.

Over the past six months I have been to the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center twice. A local performing arts theater located in the well-to-do area of Stowe, VT, it is the epitome of a community arts theater. Most of the performers are not national names but they do provide quality performances for the audience. The theater itself is located next door to the Stowe Mountain Resort which during a late-night performance can offer accommodations—just be prepared to pay a little bit for the overnight stay.

Occasionally the center will book someone like Mary Chapin Carpenter or a funny comedian like Bob Marley that people outside of Vermont have heard of. But most of the acts are performers and events like the Northern Third Piano Quartet or Joe Davidian Trio or short film festivals. This is not to say they aren’t entertaining but don’t be looking for Lady Gaga to show up.

I have heard people complain about the small size of the theater and the seating but I have sat close to the stage and much further back and I have never had any issue with viewing the performers. The ushers are always very friendly and courteous. You may not see Mariah Carey or Celine Dion on stage but do take a look at their events calendar. I think you will find something (or someone) that appeals to you and a night at the Center is worth it spending as a couple or with family and friends.

EXCELLENT venue (Trapp Family Lodge meadow) and excellent music by a group of VERY talented artists! The lead singer's voice is beautiful and each musician is very accomplished. It was a wonderful evening. The next time I go to this venue, however, I will remember to bring a baseball cap or hat - the sun sets right into your eyes so it is tough to see the stage without shielding your eyes. ALSO no matter how warm it is during the day, it always gets chilly after the sun sets so sweatshirts and blankets are good to have.

We thoroughly enjoyed an evening performance by the Russian State Ballet of Cinderella. It was a magical night. Wonderful production all around and the venue at Spruce Peak was so intimate and inviting that you really felt one with the performance. The acoustics were perfect and I do not think there was an empty seat in the hall. Taking the Over Easy gondola from the Mount Mansfield parking area across to Spruce Peak was also fun! We will definitely keep our eyes open for other great acts coming to Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center!

We went to see a Warren Miller film here and enjoyed the whole experience. There's plenty of parking, the theatre is beautiful, comfortable seats, nice bathrooms, you can buy some snacks or drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and the screen was large enough for a movie in a large theatre. It was our first time there and we would definitely go back. The website is decent to check out upcoming performances. And, obviously, if you're staying at Stowe Mountain Lodge it's right there as part of the complex.

Beautiful facility with great acoustics. The seats offer plenty of leg room, making it easy for people to pass through without having to stand up. Not a bad seat in the house. A great place to see a show. Small concession area with wine ($8 for plastic cup) and beer. Parking was at the ski area and we were shuttled, even though the tickets gave parking directions to the venue. The shuttling was very efficient and we did not wait but not what we expected.
