We toured on Thanksgiving weekend. Ginny was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable. We went to 3 wineries (Hazy Mountain) was my favorite and 1 distillery. She communicated with us and made it personable by remembering our names. The lasagna lunch at the oldest winery was amazing. She really gave us the works: lasagna, salad, brie cheese, grapes, pepperoni and cheese, caprese salad, cheesecake, and we bought wine. The day was gorgeous. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and my 50th birthday. This was well worth the money spent.

Ginny, thank you for providing exceptional service for my birthday celebration. We so enjoyed your company. You knowledge on the history of the wineries we visited, tasty cooking, attentiveness to my gluten allergy, and photography skills were greatly appreciated and added to my perfect milestone celebration. I would love a return trip and would definitely seek out your services again.

We chose this wine tour for a Bachelorette Virginia is very knowledgeable of the area! Our group didn't have enough time for a lunch, but we had an AMAZING charcuterie spread. She took many pictures of us and spent time making sure details were perfect. The price of our tour was very reasonable in comparison to other tours.

Virginia “Ginny” Saunders made our day visiting the wineries spectacular! She promptly picked us up and whisked us off to Crozet first to visit the King Family Winery. Of the four we visited, it was truly the most delightful. We had a guided wine tasting, which if available wherever you go, take it. We particularly enjoyed the background stories about each wine selection. Ginny pointed out other areas of interest throughout our scenic drive which made it even more enjoyable. After our third winery visit, Ginny prepared the most AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS lunch for all of us. Her preparation and presentation were truly the best treat of the entire day! Not a single detail was overlooked. Please be sure and look at her website for more rave reviews and descriptions for the most memorable day you will be experiencing!
Travelers’ Tip: If your schedule will permit, try to go on a weekday as opposed to a weekend so as to avoid the crowds. Since we toured on a Friday, most of the day, we felt we had the wineries nearly to ourselves. Throughout the tour, Ginny was our photographer as well. She will help record all of your wonderful memories of a truly special day!

Ginny was communicative before our trip and informative during our trip. She created an amazing lunch for us with beautiful decorations, and she provided us with an amazing experience. Her vehicle was clean and comfortable. It was also apparent that Ginny has great connections with the local wineries; she is well respected in the community and received accolades from winery employees. During our wine tour, Ginny also took beautiful photos at each stop; she shared these with us after the tour.

We recently used Virginia Blue Ridge Wine Tours and the experience was exceptional. Virginia (Ginny) very pleasant and provided just the right amount of tour narrative while driving and left us to enjoy the tastings while at each winery. The wineries she selected for us were wonderful. Each was unique in its own way and were extremely pleasant to sit and relax with a glass of wine. But one of the highlights of the tours was the lunch she prepared for us to enjoy at one of the wineries. We knew she provided lunch, a very nice feature, but were not expecting a wonderful white table cloth gourmet meal with all the trimmings. We highly recommend Ginny for your wine tours.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in visiting the vineyards of Charlottesville. The host/guide Virginia (Ginny) is extremely hospitable and personable. This tour is the best bang for your buck! We were picked up from our airbnb, chauffeured to 4 different vineyards with GREAT conversation, and the food that Virginia prepared was PHENOMENAL. She sends a very detailed rundown of how the day will be. You are picked up around 10am, and get to choose from a list of hand-picked vineyards. Virginia was super friendly and knew how to give us our space, yet capture many beautiful pictures of us! The meal that she prepared was my favorite part. We chose Salmon, but she went above and beyond with a spread. The spread included (but not limited to) salmon, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, grapes, bread, and the best Phillipino inspired rice I have ever tasted. She then drove us back to our airbnb on a very pleasant ride. I highly recommend this tour, and I will be booking it again in a week with some more friends!

Absolute perfection, definitely a must for VA wine touring. Ginny picked us up on time in a spotless van explaining the Charlottesville area on our way to our first winery, King Family. Lunch at Valley Road Vineyard was AMAZING and abundant which Ginny shared with us no detail missed including fresh flowers. We choose Salmon which included two salads, blue cheese wedge, focaccia, rice and fruit. We were too full for dessert, Ginny gave us full cheesecake to eat later.
At each winery Ginny provided us with detailed information on the vineyard speciality, perfect when trying to decide on tastings. Our tour included Veritas andFlying Fox. Ginny also gave us suggestions for vineyards to visit on our own, so much appreciated.
We cannot recommend Ginny enough, truly first class white glove experience.

This is the perfect Experience for wine lovers. All the fun of winery hopping and none of the stress of driving. Ginny picked us up from our rental at Wintergreen. Her van was clean and comfortable, and her driving was smooth. She told us about the region and drove us to four wineries - three she had preplanned and one of our choice (we could have picked a distellery, brewery or cidery). She knew the employees at each winery and was on good terms with everyone. At afton, she unveiled a perfect picnic lunch and dined with us. I mean this spread was amazing. I'm vegetarian so we had mushroom pasta, caprese, iceberg wedge, focaccia, grapes, all with a delicious glass of afton wine. We were too full for dessert so she sent us home with an entire homemade cheesecake. It was really a perfect day. Ginny also took pictures throughout the day, which she said she'll send us.
I did this trip with my boyfriend but will be back for a girls weekend this winter & we plan to use Ginny. Virginia Blue Ridge Wine Tours is a great price value for the experience; however, be aware that all the winery tasting fees have gone way up.
