Unfortunately on our first visit we had a terrible bartender.
She said very little about the beer and even less to us.
I thought part of sitting at the bar was to talk about the beer and maybe a little intrest in the customer.

I like darker beer and ale better than American ales and do not like beer with significant hops. While they had a stout in the can, there was nothing on draft. I went with a delicious smoked ale. The Hefeweizen was also good. My fellow traveler likes the hops and enjoyed his selections. It is worth the stop if you like American ales, IPAs, or Hefeweizen.

Super friendly and fast service . Some really great beers! Definitely would be a regular watering hole for me if I lived here.

Fun brewery with great beer. They have a good selection and offer samples to help you decide. The open air table facing the road are a nice touch. We will be back!

Beer and social distancing are possible! Everyone is at a table, inside or outside, and you have to wear a mask if you're ordering at the bar. So civilized. Also great beer.

These guys are doing an unbelievable job during the pandemic. Social distancing practises are fully in force and you can still enjoy your beer. The staff is fantastic, Marta and Skip are assets to this business. We love it here more than any other brewery in VA. Their beer selection is vast and their Lizzy lime gose is the best I’ve had.

Great place to visit and learn different beers. I took my husband because he likes his
Bud Light beer so I decided to take him out and about to different breweries. We treat each other to things like this. It's a great way to find new things and it's great for our marriage. We just enjoy each other's company. Been 29 years and counting and we still find time to enjoy new breweries and things. He did find some brews that he liked and we will be going back.

The Starr Hill Brewery is a really neat place to visit. They have great beer on tap and bottles and cans available to take home. The staff was very friendly and polite. I would definitely come back if in the area.

Stopped here as a respite after visiting a few wineries in the area. I have had some of their brews before, so I figured I would go to the source. The taproom is on the smaller side, but that had great beer on tap, and the bartenders were awesome. No food, but there is a food truck right outside.
