The staff was wonderful and everything was so well made! There were many jumpscares but it made it an immersive experience. Unlike any escape room I’ve ever done before!

We tackled the 8-bit escape room! And all I can say is “WOW”. This room was a throwback for sure, and so well put together! Challenging, yet fun all at the same time! Josh was our GameMaster and we could not have had a more pleasant experience with him on our side!
I don’t want to give away any details, so I’ll stop there. But I will say if you are a newbie or expert, this is the place to go :)
We are stoked to experience the other rooms! Thanks again for the wonderful experience! We WILL be back :)

I brought a group of 14/15 year old girls as a way to pass a school holiday and it didn't disappoint. What a fun way to get a group of shy girls to come out of their shell and work together to solve the challenge. I will definitely be recommending Escape Room Herndon to my friends!

We LOVED the 8Bit Room!!! My family and I solved puzzles, laughed, celebrated, and just had a great time all around. This happened AFTER I got over the amazement of the decorations. Everything was so well thought out & was executed perfectly. I especially loved that this was a room that a person at any age could enjoy. We are a family with 2 adults & 2 children and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I’m willing to go back to the same room all over again just to experience the nostalgia. We have done escape rooms before, but this by far was the best! I really like that it was a backstory to the room.
I want to add that our game master was phenomenal! So much so that my 13 year old says she would like to work at an escape room. The game master was exciting and it made us excited to play. The entire place was clean and welcoming. I especially like that we had to sanitize before entering.

We absolutely love that you and your family were able to enjoy this experience together. When we built 8-BIT Escape our hope was that parents would be able to share some of the nostalgia from when there were kids with their children.
Thank you for the kind words about our staff. They are the heart and soul of ERH. Their passion and enjoyment make all the difference for us. It means a ton to us that your 13-year old wants to join the team :D

We played the Gravediggers’s Dilemma and it was really well done - a bit spooky with great puzzles leading you to the end.
The only downside is that it’s 9/11/2022 and Ravenchase Escape Room Herndon is still demanding facemasks, even though the CDC and the Government of Virginia have removed these mandates.

We're happy you had a great time in Graverobber's Dilemma! We like to make the room creepy for those looking for a bit of a scare.
Our mask policy has been in place for both our guests and staff. We have changes coming though where players will have the option to wear masks.

We have done a few of the rooms at Escape Room Herndon and have never been disappointed. The puzzles are challenging and fun, the room design and details are fantastic, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back!

I was wondering about The Magicians Workshop, why is it recommended for 10+? I not asking for spoilers just an idea. Thank you!

We recommend 10+ for all our rooms. Under 10 we leave that to the parents to decide if their child would enjoy an escape room. Content wise, it's appropriate for all ages, just tougher than others.

We recommend either Maritime Mutiny (pirates), Last Hope (Space Station), or 8-Bit (80's Video Games). Room 213 would be too creepy. Pick based on which theme you think they would like best.
We don't have any special birthday packages, but can block empty seats in a room (any day but Saturday) if you book at least half of the seats. Then you can purchase any extra tickets you need once you arrive.

Yes, you can play each room with 4 people. It may be more difficult but it's certainly doable. If you partial book a room you may be joined with other people in which case you'd all work together as a team to beat the room.

We went with 4 people. I believe if you look on their website, you can see where there are open slots. They will most likely want to group you in with strangers, but we reserved our time slot about 20 minutes before we actually headed over there, so there were no other people to share our room with us. We also went there around noon, and it was pretty dead at the time. I would NOT want to go in to an escape room with strangers, because I think everyone would get easily annoyed with each other...
