This was at least our 4th visit to the winery and tasting room, Previous visit have been ok with the wines decent but nothing special. Our most recent visit the tasting pours were much smaller than in the past and the price for the tasting is the same $10.00. Also in the past they let you keep the wine glass so at least there was some value added. Will really have to think twice before returning.

great wine, great patio, great wine. Used to live in VA and when we came every year never got to go to a facility just picked up their wine in stores, this time went to their facility- they make really good wine- unfortunately the young people like Rose and they sell out of it- I like everything else they make- good wine, nice patio. And ask my husband ,who cannot drink for medical reasons. he loved the bathrooms with their 13 ft ceilings- nice- but go for the wine

Really enjoyed this visit. Thought their wines, only red at this time, we very good. Beautiful contemporary facilities and tasting room. Special events too (Father's Day, Pig Roast for example).

If you want a beautiful winery to impress people, Boxwood will do just that. The tasting room is tiny with a round stainless steel bar. The remaining winery has glass walls to showcase the barrel room, work room, and tank room. Absolutely lovely if you are into architecture. The rose wine was nice as was the dry red blends. Better than average VA wine in a fabulous location.

I'm not a big drinker so I couldn't say much about the taste itself, I did like most of them. They were very knowledgable and explained the entire process and how to select fine wines. Enjoyable, we stayed for about 30 min, but it seems you could stay longer, no one else there seemed to be in a hurry.

We visited the winery on a rainy afternoon. Nothing was really bad - the staff was fine/friendly, service was good, etc. - just didn't care for any of the wines! All red blends, no white, no "pure" reds. Its an interesting looking place, lots of steel and modern architecture compared to a lot of the Northern VA wineries. Just OK for me dog!

This place is closed now... it should be updated to reflect such. They opened at the winery, which is even worst now... horrible customer service, bad attitude, and mediocre wines.

While traveling to National Harbor for business, we stopped at The Tasting Room here. What a great place for wine and tastings. I love this concept: load a card with an amount and then use card for tastes, half or full glasses from wines all over the world. This is a self serve concept and you taste and enjoy at your leisure.

A group of 10 well traveled seniors traveled for an afternoon of tasting. For $10 you get to taste 5 wines and keep your glass. You can also purchase a very nice cheese tray which included fruit, meat and of course cheeses - which were all very nice. (You can purchase the cheese at Home Farm Store in Middleburg - which we did) Back to the wine- it is a young vineyard so they are still finding their niche. The rose was very interesting as are some of their other blends. Our server was Hannah a very nice and informative young lady who took good care of us. After our tasting we all purchased glasses or bottles of wine to continue our tasting and most of us left with boxes to enjoy at home. More shade outside would have been nice.

Again, just not a fan of Boxwood. I just didn't like any of the wines they had. It's been a while so I may give it another shot, but I just remember the wines being average, and for the price, not worth it.
