The evening Ganga aarti is well organized, disciplined event. A cynosure to the eyes, music to the ears and aroma to the nose. A must attend event for tourists across all religions and nationalities

Don’t miss it
Go at around 5:30 to get a good spot to view Ganga Arti. It was beautiful.
Water is crystal clear. Every ashram perform their Arti at 6 pm but best was of Triveni ghat

The trail was well-maintained and offered stunning views of the surrounding nature. The guide was very knowledgeable and made sure that the pace was comfortable for everyone in the group. The level of difficulty was just right, providing a good workout without being too strenuous. The highlight of the trek was reaching the summit, where the panoramic view was absolutely breathtaking. I would highly recommend this trek to anyone looking for a challenging yet enjoyable outdoor adventure. Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back and do it again.

* There is no off-season for this aarti. It's always crowded.
* It starts at 5.30 PM
* The first three rows are reserved for those who want to perform the Ganga puja from the pandits. You have to book you slot in advance.
* Take care of seniors citizens and kids. Never leave them unattaended as the place gets crowded before and after the aarti.
* Be mindful of the traffic congestion outisde when the aarti is over.
* It starts at 5.30 PM

Triveni Ghat is in the Centre of Rishikesh and Roaming around here in the morning and evening is soul searching as well as Aarti in the evening is so much pure n Divine simply worth Going to Triveni Ghat while in Rishikesh

It is a must to experience the Gangga Aarti while you're in Rishikesh. It starts at 7 pm but if you want to get a great seat in front you should go early. There is an amazing feeling of calm and serenity at this temple. There will be children asking for money so if you intend to give, do bring small change as they don't share their bounty with others.

A sacred place on the banks of River Ganges is a must for pilgrims visiting Rishikesh. The place has facilities for pilgrims to offer prayers to River Ganges and also ancestors. Lots of pilgrims visit the place which does not have commensurate facilities. Access is through crowded lanes as vehicles are not allowed in the vicinity. While this is a nice practice, some adequate facilities for senior citizens is a must.

Pro Tip - Visit the place and reserve a space atleast half an hour ago to best experience the aarti. It gets very crowdy later.

Triveni Ghat is situated bank of the holy river Ganges. This scared ghat used for bath for most of pilgrims. This point id sangham of three important rivers namely Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.

OVERCROWDED & DIRTY AF.
Such a popular place lost its charm due to the incompetent arrangements at the location. The Arti is a serene experience only if you find a comfy place to stand and watch. Nothing else about this place calls me back to itself.

Cabs from DED airport to most hotels run around R1800 to R2200.Are these reasonable prices or is there a shuttle from the airport to different hotels or any other safe pre fixed cabs available? . Are they on time or have a long wait . Thank you mucho!

Taxi from DED to the hotel close to Triveni Ghat cost is Rs1200 - we booked it at the taxi counter in the airport - pay at the counter to avoid fare disputes.. There is no shuttle service. The taxi comes immediately once you have made the payment at the counter.

There are many budget and good hotels available near Trevini Ghat and auto Riksha are always available to take you to your far off destination also like Laxman jhoola or other places surrounding Rishikesh. You can choose any hotel according to your taste conveyance is no problem in Rishikesh. Thanks 🙏

When we were there, it startet at 6:30pm. We were there at 6pm and had enough time to catch a good spot where we could see everything -> right at the bottom steps.

We just showed up little early to see the aarti. You can check with the hotel people about the timings of the arti and go early so that you have a better place to seat near the water with a better view. We didn't have to climb any stairs. Our car took us very close to the ghat. Hope this helps.
