We learn a lot about how to make salt in oleron a passionate it was great to do and end up with a museum and a little boat ride we loved

The site is very pleasant BUT it is regrettable, and the word is weak, to maintain a boat rental (16€) when the canal is transformed into a field of algae where rowing is a feat. It's not serious and it almost smacks of a scam... Too bad to ruin such a beautiful moment. A little seriousness and consideration of realities would be welcome. The visitor is no more foolish on vacation.

The boat trip was catastrophic... there was a lot of algae everywhere (very short passages in algae but we couldn't even see anything underwater) and the oars weighed very heavy. Algae very difficult to remove from the oars. It was exhausting and very annoying. Not at all relaxing... fortunately there were 4 of us to take turns. The route is also too narrow. In short, I do not recommend.

Very beautiful natural space, labeled Echappées Nature. You can find out everything about harvesting salt and samphire. We were not able to take the boat ride or the guided tour of the salt marsh and we regret it. To do !!!

Very informative visit and simply wonderful tasting: oysters with wild garlic mayonnaise, samphire toasts, beer and grape juice and all of this obviously sprinkled with the most local salt. But also and above all, especially the Salorge boutique with mixtures of salt and spices, patchworks of colors and flavors, a tumult of visual and gustatory happiness. When nature meets gastronomy, the best experience of your life is revealed.

Nice little Salines market with its local producers but always the same problem of parking in the official car park which is saturated on market day and therefore no other choice for those who have not found a place but to park nearby unless that this year the town hall found a way to make a little extra money on the backs of tourists with plums at €135 for those (the majority) who did not find a place in the small car park…. Funny way to build loyalty! Not great for the image of the city!

Very pretty site to spend a pleasant moment of sharing and discoveries with the family. Museum, shop, boat trip, guided tour we did everything, it was great! Very good, pleasant guide who takes the time to explain well. Very peaceful place and friendly staff. We recommend !

We took the tour by boat for €16 per boat. There was no point in that. The walk takes more than 25 minutes than an hour and yet we were beginners. We saw nothing except mud.
The small adjacent market is nice with pleasant merchants.
The salt shop provides a wide variety of products but the boss had vague thoughts "we have to close at 1 p.m. otherwise my 2 little employees won't be happy" and believe me there was no humor in that sentence.
Apart from that the products sold are of quality and the salespeople are really nice.

Very informative visit with Lena, our guide for the day. Educational and accessible, she knows her subject perfectly. The site is well thought out with boat trips possible for €16 or on foot on the trails for free. Reservation of the guided tour recommended in summer (by telephone only). The boats cannot be reserved in advance.
