Lovely views and decent boat. I think a bit of information on the surroundings would have made this even more enjoyable. Give it a try. Well worth it

Very nice boat ride on the Douro. The Audio Guide app on the phone works very well. No Physical Guide on board.
Typical boat with possibility to sit in the shade.
Small bar on board: we drank port (paying), which was very nice.
I recommend considering the Award.
Note that I booked the day before for the next day for 7 people without problem.

3 Glaswegians took the 1600 tour from Pinhao for 31.25 euro on 30 July. Loved the stillness of the Douro on a hot 33C day , the scenic and panoramic valley views, and chilled soft drinks at reasonable prices from a friendly crew.
My personal highlight was sufficient time ( 50-minute cruise) to witness my frazzled and grumpy 8YO son return to his energetic and gregarious best in time for the long return trip back to Porto. Special thanks to Ian (Spurs fan from London) and his party for not throwing Conor (and his Arsenal kit) overboard - it was a pleasure being in your company!
Finally, as a user of Calmac ferries and various other services abroad, I really do not understand some of the negative feedback posted. The trip duration was just right for us, filled a gap and was very relaxing indeed. I would recommend this company to Trip Advisor users, If you really want a longer cruise, try a one-way trip from Regua to PInhao (or vice versa) .

The cruise itself is very pleasant and allows you to discover the valley.
However 2 big negatives. The walk does not last 1 hour or about 1 hour but barely 40 minutes.... And if you want to have the audio guides do not forget to ask otherwise you will have nothing!! It would be very useful to specify this at boarding.

For what we wanted to do, this cruise was perfect. The views were spectacular from the boat. There was a guide who gave some history but it was more of a chat with couples rather than a broadcast. There is an app you can use with different languages if you want. We already knew the basic history from a previous wine tour in Porto, so we were happy just to see the sights. This is a basic tour, no wine tastings etc. there are plenty of wineries such as Quinta Bomfim which are only 5 minutes walk from where the boat is moored. If you are staying in Pinhão and just want to cruise up the river, this cruise is great value for money.

My husband and I booked the 1 hour Douro River boat tour.
It wasn’t an hour, there was a crew of 3 and not one of them spoke a word about the river or anything else. It was one of the most unfriendly crew and in my opinion not the prettiest area to view.

Hi, Is it necessary to make reservation in advance for a 2 hour trip From Pinhão to Tua? or it is possible to buy a ticket on arrival to the boat ?

We made reservations ahead of time, always a good idea I think. by the way, I'd recommend that you go early in the morning , at 10 is their first trip I think, and we found that one hour was plenty, but that's a personal choice. If you like to just relax then two hours is fine, but we would have been a bit bored. anyway it was a very pleasant boat ride!

Je vais à PORTO en mars et je souhaiterais emprunter le train depuis Porto mais je n’arrive pas à trouver les horaires de trains au départ de porto pour pouvoir faire la correspondance avec le bateau à Pinhao.

Bonjour: On peut les trouver sur le site officiel des chemins de fer portugais (Comboios de Portugal) mais les horaires pour mars ne sont pas encore en ligne. Je crois me souvenir que nous sommes partis de la gare Sao Bento de Porto vers 9.30hrs et nous avons repris un train pour le retour vers 16.30hrs

Nous envisageons, le vendredi 18 octobre, faire une excursion d'une journée sur le Douro. Est-il possible de faire la première partie (Porto Regua ou Pinhao) en train et faire le trajet Pinhao ou Regua jusqu'à Tua en bateau (aller-retour ou aller) et revenir à Porto en train. Pouvez-vous me donner les horaires et le prix de cette journée pour deux personnes.
