Good museum that gives you a good idea of what live was like in rural spain, plenty to see, all information is in Spanish, only 1 euro toget in worth a visit.

This is a fascinating museum It shows how the people in the area farmed from dawn until dusk years ago and you can see all the agricultural equipment. The story of Manuel Cortes is explained and how he hid from the fascists in Spain for 30 years. There is a replica of his house within the museum. Oscar was very helpful and explained a lot in English to me which was helpful. Only €1 to get in. Fabulous

This is a fantastic little museum that is really worth visiting
It would be easy to walk straight past the entrance, but please try not to miss it!
It does not take long to walk around the museum but there are many interesting exhibits and descriptions of the very difficult daily lives of ordinary people who lived in the area in the not-so-distant past...we found it very thought-provoking and moving. And all for the amazing price of 1 euro each.

De entreeprijs bedraagt 1 euro. Aan de buitenzijde is het niet af te zien maar binnen is een mooie inrichting van hoe men in Mijas heeft en nog leeft. Een aanrader als je er bent. Met allerlei voorwerpen en oude foto's krijg je een goed beeld hoe men hier leefde en dat men er hard voor moest werken.

The museum is small but very interesting. Most of the signs aren't in English, but you can easily see what you looking at. Its only €1 to get in and well worth the visit.

Heel erg leuk streekmuseum. Het meest verrassende is de entreeprijs van 1€. Als je bij de voordeur staat verwacht je niet datgene wat je te zien krijgt. Heel interessant.

I'm a keen museum visitor, so have lots to compare, and this is one of the very best in the Costa del Sol area!
It is full of objects from times gone by, before tourism and modern life overtook the little village of Mijas, and I found it absolutely fascinating.
Do visit it, I can't wait to go back!

Vriendelijk ontvangst. Klein maar leuk museumpje met super leuk binnenplaatsje. Kan je mooie foto’s maken voor in je vakantiealbum. Zeker het bezoeken waard. Entree is slechts één euro.

This museum is full agricultural machinery & tools, brilliant ceramics used to show local life & many diaramas. Some of the information is in English, but the visual aids bring everything to life. There is also a small dwelling set up in the centre of the museum.
