Surely the tower of San Martín lives a little in the shadow of that of San Salvador. Less slender, with a somewhat simpler ornamentation and if possible cross it underneath. Its location, in the retreated Plaza Pérez Prado may also take some of the luster out of it. Although it stands out from several parts of the city (it is what it has not have very tall buildings around), it is worth approaching and contemplating in detail.

It can be visited from the outside, but it is certainly worth going to the quiet square from where you can contemplate it in all its splendor.

Otra de las 4 torres mudejares, muy bonita, lastima que no se puede visitar. Tiene una leyenda sobre su contrucción junto a la torre del Salvador. Se construyó a principios del siglo XIV y a mediados del XVI se reformo, añadiendo un contrafuerte dad la inclinación que estaba tomando. Inclinación habitual en estas torres mudejares por los materiales de construcción.

Antiguamente era una de las puertas al casco histórico de la ciudad, ofrece un arco para atravesarla sobre la calle.
Para mi gusto el exterior de la Torre El Salvador es más bonito, pero esta torre tiene su encanto en la plaza Pérez de Prado que la circunda.
Tiene 40 metros de altura, y tuvo que ser reforzada su base porque se estaba inclinando.

Torre-porta quadrangolare in elegante stile Mudéjar costruita intorno al 1315. Alla base è attraversata da una strada per mezzo di un arco a sesto acuto.Presenta la tipica decorazione Mudéjar, che sfrutta sporgenze di mattoni e archi che reggono formelle di ceramica e smalto con motivi a scacchiera, decorazioni a stella e poligonali. Termina con un coronamento merlato.

We enjoyed looking at these towers as you walk through downtown old Teruel. They are a great example of Mudejar architecture.
