House is smaller than I anticipated but is quite nostalgic as it contains so much that is original. I'm sometimes tempted to skip introductory videos but in this case it is a must. Available in English as is explanatory text in each of the rooms and in the small exhibit. I enjoyed my visit but felt it was little pricey at 10 euro

deya is one of the most beautiful villages of the Balearic Islands and where this poet written author lived in a house to his taste full of memories of this gentleman I think it was about 50 years that he lived here and I entered the wonderful cemetery of deya in the upper part of the village. ROBERT GRAVES has an extensive work where the famous YO CLAUDIO stands out. He was born a year like 1895 until 1985 i.e. died at 90 years old. the house is city and what I liked the most are its exterior as its garden

We have wanted to visit the Casa Robert Graves for many years now since re-reading and it was worth the wait. The house and garden are beautiful and the initial video is informative and interesting. I would recommend a visit to all RG fans and anyone just wanting a visit to lovely Deia.

This is such an interesting and well preserved house. The gardens are also delightful and the views incredible. So worth a visit.

Deia is one of the most beautiful villages in the Tramuntana, very much worth a stroll through its narrow alleys. For somebody with a literary interest there is a sight outside the village, on the road to Sollér. There are signs with 'La Casa de Robert Graves' and for me this name is mainly associated with a book that I had by him on my bookshelves already as a teenager: 'Greek Myths'.
When I arrived at the house nobody was there, even during regular opening hours, so I had to ring a bell. A friendly guardian came, sold me the entrance ticket and when I left he came to give me some tangerines from the garden. When there in mid-December I was alone during my whole visit.
In an auditorium there is a 15min long video about the poet and on the wall a time-line of his life and some old black and white photos. The stone house itself looks as if the owner had just left for a stroll. One can see several personal items in his study, his dining hall, kitchen, bedroom. All furniture is apparently original. There is a printing press and in the garden a wheel water pump and an electric generator.

The house is a short walk from the centre of Deia, and is clearly signposted. Parking can be difficult in the village, and there are no parking facilities at the house, so it's best to arrive early. Before you enter the house you are shown a short video about Robert Graves' life - I would highly recommend watching, as it gives context to what you see in the house. The gardens surrounding the house are absolutely beautiful, and there's an amazing view over the mountains and the sea. Inside the house, it feels like Robert Graves has only stepped out for a moment. Everything is well preserved and captures what his life in Deia was like wonderfully. There is a small exhibition on the top floor too, which shows some items significant to Graves' life, including letters, diaries, and his hand written manuscripts. It was very quiet when we visited (around 11am on a weekday) which really enhanced the peacefulness of the surroundings. Highly recommend for anyone interested in literature or the culture and history of Mallorca, or who just enjoys nice scenery!

The house is a short walk from the centre of town (well signposted) and occupies a peaceful and beautiful setting. It costs 7 Euros or 5 Euros for a pensioner. The visit starts with a film about Robert Graves life and loves and is full of interesting details and facts, followed by a wander round the garden and house which is full of his furniture and belongings. Each room has a written fact sheet in Spanish, Catalan, English and German which explains the features worth noting and it almost feels as if he has just popped out. The whole place has a lovely atmosphere and I can see why he chose the location.

What a gorgeous and peaceful location. It is easy to understand why Graves lived here and produced such a huge quantity of work. The place is uplifting and inspiring

Pintoresca casa/museo del escritor inglés. Se trata de una casa de campo llena de recuerdos del escritor y su familia. Sin ser imprescindible, si que es una visita muy interesante.

Really easy by public bus which takes you to Deia and it is a one minute stroll to the house The bus can be picked up in the main bus station and cost about 3 euros The scenery on route is amazing - a very cheap day trip!

For anybody trying to get to Deia on public transport from Palma, valldemossa, Soller or Port de Soller there is a bus available. There are approximately five buses a day and times vary for summer and winter. For current times check our facebook or TIB Route 210 website.
