I booked and paid for a cycling holiday in March 2018 but when I was unable to attend, agreed to pay a cancellation fee and receive a credit note for 807 euros. The company confirmed it and only when I tried to rebook, since November 2018, have I come up against problems. I received an email from Adrienne back in February confirming my credit note and putting together holiday details for me but since then, it started to appear that something was wrong. She returned my calls, but they came to nothing and since she called in April agreeing to a refund and despite having taken my bank details, I've heard nothing and they've cut off the phones.
A terrible end - a long-standing company with a good reputation that has now left customers out of pocket.

Website pages down, no response from emails or Facebook for weeks. Tried to book and had no response. I heard from a competitor in Mallorca that they were going under due to struggling with numbers.
Shame as we had a great trip with them. It’s a shame they couldn’t be more courteous.

We've been with Stephen Roche 17 times, at least once a year for the past 13 years. We stayed at the Ponent Mar.
It's gradually become increasingly impersonal over the last 5 years or so, with too many clients, ride groups that are too large, and a tendency to keep stopping (usually blocking a junction in the process) to regroup.
Some of the ride captains are tiresome, and spending the whole day hearing them tell us to 'remember to drink' and various other dire warnings makes for a noisy, patronising, dreary day's riding with endless unnecessary shouting and alerts.
Along with a group of friends, I was planning one last farewell trip, and contacted them 6 weeks ago to make the arrangements. Initially I was told they had technical problems and would get back to me, but they didn't, and when I submitted an online enquiry form (as opposed to e-mailing again), I got an automated response stating they were on holiday until 15th August.
I've still heard nothing, and have now made other arrangements. A holiday company that can't respond to our booking enquiries for a trip in 6 weeks time is of no use at all, and needless to say, we won't be wasting any more time with them.

Séjour du 23 au 31 mai 2018. Tout était au top ! Aussi bien les vélos loués sur place qui nous attendaient le premier matin, que l'équipe de ride captains. Même la météo était au rendez-vous ! Plusieurs choix de distances selon le niveau. Les guides sont vraiment pro et font leur maximum pour que l’expérience ne donne que de bons souvenirs. Merci à Andréa, Andrew, Nathan et les autres. Nous reviendrons !

A friend and I hired two Pinarello Razha bikes from Hotel Son Caliu in Palmanova for a week. The pick up and drop off was quick and easy (open between 08:30-09:30 and 13:00-16:00 most days) and the mechanic was really friendly and helpful. They were a little slow at replying to emails but if you can put with that you'll have an amazing time cycling in Mallorca.

They provide fully supported guided rides on Mallorca. They have five separate groups that leave the hotel daily with a weeks worth of different routes. The groups are separated according to ability. Very nice guides with helpful altitudes.

We came for 8 days and cycled every day! The riding in Mallorca in April is stunning, sun, perfect temperature, smooth roads, nice climbing gradients .... All guided by 2 ride captains on carefully selected routes with excellent coffee stops. Don't forget to try the local almond cake. What sets the holiday apart is the brilliant mechanical support, we brought one bike and hired a second, and everything was taken care of. Took all the stress out and allowed us to focus on those beautiful rides.

Last minute decision to hire bikes and them for join 3 days cycling. We stayed in Palma so cannot comments on the usual accommodation. Ride Captain Alex was particularly excellent .. his chilled and friendly manner helped us to enjoy our level 4 rides. We are regular leisure cyclists it haven't joined group riding like this before. Fair amount of climbing so be prepared!

In 1997 I took the advice of a friend and took a chance on the Stephen Roche Cycling experience here in Majorca. Since that time I have brought 13 groups here and many of those riders have brought their own groups. This experience has been great since that first trip, but becomes better each year. This year's staff, rides and rental bikes were the best, so far. I will bring more groups in years to come and would highly recommend it to any cyclist wanting a phenomenal cycling vacation. Oh, great for non-cycling partners, as well.

Did anyone else place a booking to stay with Stephen roche at the Senses Palma nova . If you booked and paid for your holiday prior to 25 September 2017, The terms and conditions were updated after this point as was what was included in the hotel package . We did not get the supposed "beer , wine and water" with meals - just wondered if other travellers had this experience too ?

The Ponent Mar is the main Hotel of the Strphen Roche Cycling Holidays, and their half board always has and still does include beer wine and water.
Their other Hotel Son Caliu is a bit fancier and only provides either a glass of wine or a beer or water with any more of each at an extra charge.
The Senses hotel is a new addition to the Stephen Roche Holidays which was very late in being finished, causing the Stephen Roche team a great deal of difficulty in finding accommodation for people booked into the spring camp.
The Senses opened in time for the fall camp and apparently there was some miscommunication in setting up what is included in the package using what was provided by the Ponent Mar and Son Caliu but not at the Senses Hotel.
It seems that they caught this error too late for you and possibly several others but apart from this extra cost did you enjoy the experience as much as I do?
