Lovely decor, atmosphere and food! I have visited a few times now and this is my first review. The food and service is consistently excellent! I’ve visited during busy times and ordered food/drinks. The drinks selection is good and the food is served tapas style. I personally thought the portion sizes were really good. The cheeseboard was not small by any means.
The staff are really friendly and look after you, I’m not a local or known to the staff but feel welcomed by them. Can’t wait to work my way through the menu!

Well first time here since they have had a change of owners (I believe) and definetly will not be the last. My friends and I love meeting up in local bars for food, drinks and a laugh. If there's music that's always a bonus. Well the Grapes ticks all our boxes. We were there for happy hour so cocktails it was, my god they did not scrimp on the alcohol, there was such a wonderful choice, I also asked about a cocktail I loved that was not on the menu and was told they could make it for me (will do that next time) we had a selection of their dishes on the menu and everyone was a delight. The Garlic Prawns to die for in a sauce that had I a spoon would have eaten it like soup. Chicken tendons - fab, chips had that little bit extra not your average chips. so its a 10 out of 10 for food. Its a very classy looking establishment, with plenty of seating, music good, staff so helpful and friendly. A fantastic place to go and have a very good time. They have a great wine list with plenty of choice and prices are very good. This will not be my last visit. Everyone needs to go and check this amazing venue out

Came here for drinks with a friend. Pretty sure my drink was spiked. Have been informed by the police that they are still waiting for CCTV footage from the manager, despite visiting, phoning and emailing. Will not be returning.

We visited Saturday night. Really lovely new interior, staff were very friendly. There was a great vibe, it was very busy. We decided to stay and eat. Lots of appetisers/snacks on the menu, a nice range. However, we ordered the one kilo of chicken wings and bucket of 5 beers for £45. Not good value for money at all. The chicken wings were very tasty, but if you take the beers out you’re basically paying £15-£20 for the chicken wings. Very pricey. The cheeseboard was small too compared to other places, so I definitely wouldn’t be eating there again. We left hungry.

What can I say,,, well I rocked up alone… my mate was held up at work. Was only meant to stay for maximum or two cocktails, but felt so comfortable I stayed for a few more and ate, rather partial to a great cocktail, thankyou Alek ,, I’d suggest you go during the week when you actually get the feel of the the ambiance and experience the customer service …. I’m sure weekends are too busy for me ! But definitely go and enjoy for yourself x

First time visit to The Grapes. A fantastic choice & will certainly be coming back.
Visited on a Wednesday evening & a free comedy night was on. Was great fun.
The bar is under new management & from what the locals are saying, its a huge improvement. Carl is a gentleman & a great landlord.
Will be coming back!

We annually attend a 1940s event in Gravesend, and have always popped into this pub during the afternoon. This year it was nice to meet the new licensees, Carlton and Vicky, who are working hard to turn the place around, and what a change, it has gone from being a bit tired and not bothered about, to a pleasant place to have a drink, the locals we met there are friendly and will take the time to have a chat with you. Carlton and Vicky are also welcoming and take the time to have a chat. It is nice to see the people that run the pub, out with the customers and working behind the bar. An added bonus, apart from a good cocktail, is they will soon be, in the next week or so, doing a lunchtime menu. We are looking forward to our visit next year.

Out with a group of friends. Asked to leave by the 'landlady' because we had had too much to drink, when we had just arrived so error of judgement. Very much a locals pub and visitors are treated differently.

Great little bar, with a huge selection of drinks, place has a great vibe and friendly bar staff, well worth a visit if in the area.
